After my father passed away, I was left to handle his finances, including his taxes. He had been using Randy Holson for years and they were already hired to complete his 2025 taxes. I assumed they would be helpful and understanding since I had just lost my father and his taxes were more complicated than a simple 1040.
I was very wrong. Everyone I spoke to in regards to his taxes or asking for clarification was either rude, gave me incorrect information, or acted like I was an inconvenience to them. One person I spoke with was asking for things I didn't know about and/or could not provide and it obviously annoyed her. Our conversation came to an abrupt end when she simply ended our call with "well, FINE!" I will say I was never allowed to speak to Mr. Holson directly, so he may be a lovely person. His staff, however, are horrible. Additionally, no one ever asked for correct contact and bank information, leaving my father's bank info and his email address on the forms, all of which are incorrect as they have been closed down. When I contacted the office about that, I was told to go ahead and send it to the IRS and wait for them to send me a letter. Instead, I re-typed the 1040 with the correct info, so I'm not waiting months for a response. Do not use Randy Holson if you would like your things to be correct in the end or are looking for staff that makes you feel as if your business is important to them, or if you just want someone to be polite to you. I'm sure there are other CPAs in the Granbury area that would appreciate your business. read more
