They rush everything, regardless of your circumstances or repeated attempts to ask questions or even try to contact them in general. Their reputation for being dishonest is accurate because they will undermine the value of your home, push you to hurry up and sell it for the sake of making a deadline and a commission and leave you with less money in your pocket than you could have had, if it wasnt all about hurrying up to make a deal so the listing agent can pocket their cash and move on to the next.

The escrow agent is not willing to prorate our final water and sewage charges. The deed transfer…read morewas incorrectly recorded as 5 days later after the actual closing date, which resulted in our paying the buyer's usage of water/sewage for 5 days between the closing date and the recorded title transfer date. Neither Cuyahoga County nor Cleveland Water is willing to correct the closing date. The escrow agent is supposed to ensure buyer and seller pay fair share of expenses. In our case, they stick to one rule which is unfair to us as the seller. They know very well how the county recording office works and should have allowed enough time for recording. Claiming timing of deed recording is out of their control is just an excuse for negligence. The deed recording office also confirmed that it was title agent's responsibility to deliver documents by mail in advance or in person on the closing day. After several days of calling/emailing all the above agencies and filing the complaint with BBB, Ohio Real Title finally offered $100 as a courtesy. So I'm changing from 1 to 3 stars. Also this is a lesson for future home buyers and sellers in Cuyahoga County Ohio. Specifically request your title escrow agent to deliver documents on or before the closing date no matter which one you use.

This place has horrible customer service. I needed help with the title work on a previously…read morepurchased home. I called and the woman who answered the phone was rude. They directed me to some ridiculous email address where inquires should be directed. This should have been called the Land of the Lost or "we will give you an email address to appease you, but really no one is ever going to respond to you" because even though you email and get a response right away that it may take up to five days, to answer an email, no one ever gets back to you! Then you call and ask to speak to an actual live person, again the actual person answering was rude and even though I said I really want a live person not a voicemail, she transfers me again to someone who does not answer, so I leave a voicemail that again never gets returned. I truly do not understand how companies like this function. In my job if it took me five days to respond to a basic inquiry I would be fired. If someone left me a voicemail I would return it. There are a ton of title companies out there, go to one who actually cares about the customers they serve.
