    Frozen disgusting meat patty
    Kaiolohia C.

Pros: Fries were great and sauces are good. Cons: FROZEN premade meat patty dressed up with "gourmet" toppings like arugula and homemade sauces. Expensive, especially for a frozen patty. Overall: There's a McDonald's, Burger King, and 5 guys right around the corner, go there instead.

We decided to drop by the train station in Geneve to walk around, and saw this burger place. Since we were meat starved for the past week, we decided to treat ourselves to a big juicy burger, especially when the price looked reasonable for Swiss standard and even for most American standard. We had 2 burgers to share amongst the 3 of us. We ordered the Montreux Jazz & Blues burger and the Camembert Cranberry chicken burger. I have to say the beef burger was definitely juicy, yummy and totally delicious !! We got the chicken burger as a meal (an extra CHF 4-5) for the fries and a bottle of non alcoholic drink. But they made an error and gave us the beef burger with fries as well. So we had double fries, with us being unable to finish up all the fries since the portion was very decent. Do get the fries since they were delicious- thinly crisp on the outside and sot in the inside.

    My amazing burger!

Amazing!!!! This was the best meal I had in Switzerland! It was so good. I had the burger with the pineapple and mint sauce. Sounds strange but it was so good. I find beef in other countries outside of the USA tastes better anyway. The fries are the best part! They were So perfectly crispy and soft in the middle! I really enjoyed my meal and it's right across from the train station so it's easy to get to! Definitely try this place!

Just across the train station, this is one of the most popular burger place in Geneva. The pros: Bun is very good and the smoked onions relish too. I really like the ghick cut fries that are crispy and not soggy. The apple soda is good too. The cons: the place itself looks really dated and a bit dirty. The toilets are horrible. Ordered some Avocado spread that was very sweet?! Price is high for the type of place (it is geneva but there is a limit) almost 40 Swiss franc for 2 menus. Conclusion: decent but not the best at all

My go-to burger place in Geneva. The burgers are large and freshly made, the meat patty thick and juicy. Some burgers have odd combinations, but some are simply spot on, like the Avocado Bacon burger. The highlight however are the frites, which are large, crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. A burger with a drink and fries cost around 20 CHF, which is somewhat reasonable by Swiss standards (this is Geneva, after all), especially considering the large portions. The shop is conveniently located right across from gare Cornavin too, making it a great place to grab a quick bite before catching the train/bus.

Strategic location - right opposite Geneva train station, a good way to spend time before the train. Great burgers, delicious, huge and fresh in a nicely presented basket. It takes time for the burgers to arrive, but they're worth it.

Still the best fries ever. Sad that the veggie patty is so soft, since the bread is not toasted I'd like some crispy somewhere... Will continue to go however, because OMG THOSE FRIES. And all you can eat sauces. Yumyumyum

A frozen patty. A fake nice cashier dude completely messed up my order. On top of it, the food was very cold. They probably rushed it.

The fries are great. The burgers just so so. More McDonalds than the gourmet burger it is advertised as.

Among the top burger places in Geneva. And everything is Swiss made/grown. Good value student deals too.

Definitely a step or two up from McDonalds, but not a really great burger. Nevertheless, it could still be the best in Geneva.

There is also an Hawaiian bar on premises which is open in the evenings. Great atmosphere, juke box classics and friendly service. The menu was classic diner style with burgers, hot dogs, nachos, milkshakes and a few other bits and pieces. I loved the poutine which was probably the only non American thing on the menu ;-) Fresh cut fries topped with gravy and cottage cheese and here it also included some mozzarella balls. The Mexican burger was excellent and the burger cooked to perfection (medium rare). If you don't like thus ask the waitress to ensure your burger is cooked right through. For me a good burger should be served medium rare. The banana milkshake was fantastic and a meal on its own :-) All in all a great experience and would happily repeat again.

I'm very happy that we FINALLY have a diner in Geneva!!!…read more This place hasn't done much advertisement yet as it has opened mid September 2013 (less than a month ago). We passed in front and that's how we discovered this place. As mentioned in reviews before, the diner is part of a well known American and British market in town that exists for years and years. Decoration: The deco is AMAZING and much better than most of the diners in the US. It does remind a lot like diners from the Hollywood movies and it gives a pleasant feeling that you are part of something great! I can only give ALL the stars to the decoration and the fact that they made an amazing place in a short space and there's even one table for 9 people that is very comfortable. Service: Service is really great! A blond lady and an older guy were TOP, also another young guy who didn't seem to speak French! They were really running everywhere and helping and talking to everyone, even if it was quite chaotic and hard to control the people queuing. I've realized that in Switzerland people are less used to queue, in the US we saw many restaurants where people just queue and wait calmly, which was not in the case while I was at the American Dream Diner and people were quite agitated. They maybe need to create a hostess system where they take note of the name of the people queuing and who's first. People were lost but it seems it's just not part of the local culture to queue for a restaurant. Food: OKAY, this is the reason why I give 4 starts. Food wasn't great. I had many better burgers before, not only in the US but also in Geneva. Burgers are HUGE, this can be a good point for the ones with big appetite, however, they are not tasty. Meat is blend, sauce is not special at all, bread is not as fresh as it could be. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. Although, the fries with cheddar were actually pretty amazing. We also tried the coleslaw as everyone was having a free sample when they arrive at the diner (which we though it was very kind of them and everyone appreciated) and the coleslaw was really good too, quite healthy and without much sauce and without being so sweet as many others, but it was DAMN GOOD! They also give us nice candies with the bill and it was sweet and yummy =) Overall, the experience was good and we can't wait to go back to try the hotdogs and milkshakes as the place is pretty awesome! If the burgers were amazing, we would never leave this place. If we could get the burger from INGLEWOOD or BLAQK and have the place of American Dream Diner, it would be a great combination... but guess we can't have it all! I would also love if they had American breakfast (at least on week-ends), that would be FREEEEAKING AWESOME and there're not many other places in town to compare the quality either haha... not like burgers where Geneva has some pretty decent places already.

This flavor is apparently popular and new so I was wary. The Graham cracker crumbs mixed throughout gave body to what was already a thick concoction. Meanwhile I was focused on the Old Fashioned, a tasty concoction of sautéed mushrooms, carnal iced onions, and a spicy creamy sauce. Any other day I would have been all over the truffle burger, but it might have to get in line with all the other tempting choices: Carolina (pork), Texan (beef and cheddar), All-American (w/ fromage US), am I really in Switzerland? All y'all can try the veggie or plant varieties. I'll stick to the plant-based sides (frites). I guess technically this place is "touristy" but they pull it off Genève-style with friendly service and helpful wait staff. A local I met up with the next day tried to take me there again, so it must be doing lots well. Give it a try if you're near the Rive rotund.

Well, maybe it was because I was just ordering a beer, or the waiter was having a bad day, but making snide comments in French as I was walking past certainly doesn't help. Sure, my French might suck, but you can recognise a snide comment in any language. This is definitely one of those places that should be avoided at all costs.
