    Beautiful church for small intimate weddings. Over 100 years old. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards. Capacity 120 persons.

    St. Stephen's Episcopal Church differs from other Episcopal churches in the Napa Valley. It belongs…read moreto the conservative Anglican Province of Christ the King, which ordains neither women nor LGBT people. The services are very traditional. Originally, the church was a non-denominational sanctuary... back in the 1800s, before Calvary Chapel. The pastor is friendly and the congregation is somewhat welcoming. The BIGGEST problem is the parking. One has to be strategic in getting a good parking spot so one won't be boxed in as well as be an appropriate distance from the busy road. The Oakville Grade/Trinity Road is a scenic thoroughfare between the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, so one has to be careful. St. Stephen's is in a pleasant, scenic spot. Most importantly to us is the fact there is absolutely no politics from the pulpit. That drove us put of the Episcopal church which has turned into a political party rather than a church. I don't care what their politics are; I just don't want to hear them from the pulpit... I attend church to learn about the salvation of my soul and that is what I hear at St. Stephen's. We attend here whenever we are in town and have come to really miss is church when we are back East. We think of St Stephen's as our home church although we do not live here. The message and the people who practice it are the best!
