Now it is a place of prayer&spirituality. The main chapel is splendid in a simple way- with gold statues of Saints Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross flanking the altar. There is also a side chapel that adjoins the library. Every once in awhile, they host talks, such as Fr. Mark who gave a lecture on Harry Potter. The Carmelites are a friendly group. They also have a small gift shop, where one can donate to their Ugandan mission. It is a quiet place for prayer in the midst of Nature, overlooking the Napa Valley.

It also was the perfect size for our ~60 person wedding. Additionally, Karen was our day of coordinator and she was excellent. Our rehearsal was the most efficient I have ever been to and everyone knew exactly what they needed to for the wedding the next day. She also was so organized in having everything printed and prepared in advance. We felt so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her! This is the perfect place for a wedding in Napa and both Jacque and Karen who help coordinate the weddings at Holy Family Mission are great to work with. We would highly recommend it!

As an Assemblies of God church, it's Pentecostal; they deeply believe in the Holy Spirit's power. The worship is an engaging, charismatic experience. They offer more than just Sunday services- they have Bible studies, programs that help in the community with issues like foster children and sex slavery. They do a lot of good. Despite being a "megachurch" of sorts they put much effort in showing friendship&welcome to all. Nobody feels like a number. Like the nearby winemaker statue, it's hard to miss. It welcomes you into the city of Napa.

They have a great youth and child set of programs, and even have a "Out of College, No Children yet" group for young adults in their 20s and 30s. Amazing worship team, very talented musicians, passionate and well spoken pastors. There are some super cool missions and events that they take part in, including service days in Petaluma, blood drives, and community support events, as well as regularly scheduled camping trips, beach trips, and young adult events.

While it's within earshot of Highway 29, it is a place of silence and beauty.

The leaders and staff are all trustworthy and have gone through background checks and there is a strict policy to work with the kids or even be in the classrooms. safety is priority. which i love. (my husband and i also went through the background checks and attended the church at least 6 months before being a part of kids ministry) There are awesome women and men's ministries that offer group studies and events through out the year. mens bbq, women's picnics, galentines and the women's christmas event (SO MUCH FUN!) I really enjoyed participating in mass with him and the other parishioners. May God continue to bless this parish, community, and their priests. I know there is alot of history here as I believe it was the first Catholic Church here in Napa. I believe there is also a connection with Beringer Vineyards during the coalition that the wine was provided by Beringer due to not having a liquor license or something of that sort. Truly fascinating.
