In the 1990'a before Yelp existed I walked into the lobby of the American St Hill Org while I was a…read morefew months pregnant and severely dehydrated and anemic from a long history of hyperemesis ( uncontrollable vomiting due to pregnancy). A student of this Org noticed my distress and gave me a ride to the emergency room at Queen of Angels. Some days later I returned to the lobby of this Org and I was given an assist developed by L Ron Hubbard. During the assist, I was able to spiritually get in communication with my unborn child and I felt more calm. Coincidentally, the lobby of this Org used to be the maternity reception when this spacious structure used to be a hospital. On Nov 4, 1997 my daughter was born just 2 weeks premature at Queen of Angeles with a few defects such as a hernia and scoliosis (crooked spine) however she is now 24 years old and extremely athletic. I was a student of this Org at the time of my pregnancy therefore I was not merely a stranger walking into the lobby for help therefore I was serviced by getting an assist by a student parishioner. Prior to being on lines at this Org I had unsuccessful pregnancies due to hyperemesis which became life threatening. I did an advanced communication skills course at this Org called Professional TRs ( Training Routines) and "Upper Indoctrination " course which are skills to control things, direct people and situations. I believe that this training along with objective processing (which helps an individual control their environment as well as being more in present time) had helped me later in my life during severe spiritual distress which I will describe below. I also received various types of auditing sessions at American St. HIll Org Some of the auditing helped me to stabilize my life however years later I began to have issues with intimate relationships which landed me in their ethics and justice dept on a continual basis. I was a hard case to crack due to a rough childhood. During my childhood my human rights were violated for 2,555 days either psychologically or physically which included being tortured by an evil and suppressive father by forced into isolation in tiny dark linen closets , boiling watered thrown on my bare feet, starved, slept and ate my food on a cold floor, sexually molested, etc. I have been informed by a Sea Org recruiter that I did something bad in a past life to deserve this. It's kind of like "Karma" Basically I was raised by an evil suppressive person and I had become a rebellious person all my life and I had been in the evil person's valence on numerous occasions. My involvement in Scientology has educated me on the side effects of psychiatric drugs and hospitals and therefore I was fortunate not to land in the hands of psychiatry due to my mental health issues as a child. I've never taken psych drugs nor illegal drugs. Auditors (counselors of Scn) are not always perfect and when they make gross auditing errors or break the auditors code, they get corrected in their quality control dept. Unfortunately, while on Expanded Grade 4 auditing one of my auditors did not handle my ARC break ( upset) and instead took a detour which caused an "Out List" which is a technical term that causes a super fast dwindling spiral and has dangerous psychological consequences. I therefore "red tagged" after session. A 'red tag' is not a good thing and must be resolved within 24 hours in session. Unfortunately the 'red tag' was not fully handled due to the side effects and complications of melatonin. The auditor insinuated that I was a very bad person for disrespectfully speaking about my ARC break with an aggressive "reg" ( a Scientologist who sells auditing and training services) during my session. While I was at home I became very introverted and had insomnia therefore I took extra melotonin in an attempt to sleep because I had to handle the 'red tag' in session. Because I had already done professional training at American St Hill and objective auditing this may have helped me save my life and kept me out of a mental hospital after the red tag that never got resolved. However this 'Out LIst' and red tag that never got resolved landed me in ethics and justice dept because I insulted the auditing dept. In August 2020 I was audited by Class VIII auditor who "granted me so much beingness " ( to let a person be and not make them wrong}. I requested an auditing session because I was having issues with a relationship. During session I discovered that I was simply out of valence (in someone else's personality). During my entire time in Scientology my childhood was never really addressed and it never occurred to the case supervisor that I was in the valence of the suppressive person who raised me for 2,555 days. A couple of years after this auditing session I contacted an Ex-boyfriend from the 1980s and was excited to tell him about my daughter and how my stability in relationships has improved.

They also have special mass and events if you request them. They're also play as a community service organization as they help people with many different needs from fitness, taxes to even immigration services. They also have a room to rent for special ocassions such as wedding receptions, quinceañeras or any other event or groups you are part of. The priests here are very friendly and welcoming to everyone in the community. The congregation of St. Athanasius is awesome and I keep on coming here whenever I can to help, to receive the sermon or just to enjoy the many activities they offer.

Pastors also feel too important to take time to actually speak to their members. They don't even know their congregation. But I could never find the place that gave me a direct and right answer to my problems that are​ actually from the Bible, that made me feel free and peaceful. I even ask many pastors how can I go to heaven or how can I be connected to God. The common answer? Do good works. I tried but I still felt weighed down inside, distant from God. This was the first place that was able to answer every single one of my doubts, frustration, and curiosity. You go to an auto shop to get your car fixed. But if you come back and the bugs weren't fixed at all, you'd never go back to that auto shop. You'd find one that can actually fix it. My bugs were fixed and I keep going back every time there's a problem. I'd highly recommend Good News Central. There's tons of young adults, awesome food, and many programs to get involved in like ​teaching, dancing, singing, and traveling. The Pastors here all ask about you and what you're up to and they take time to fellowship about what's in your heart. The VERY FIRST TIME I'VE EVER FELT A PASTOR CARED. And there are over 300 hundred people here!

They greet you before and after service. The service is usually 2 hours long. They start with a bible verse then they pray. After they start singing and then someone preaches. They close with a prayer and sometimes they serve food. Everyone is welcomed here. The pastors are Mario and Elisa Zamora. They are very sweet, caring and loving. If you want to speak to them you tell them and they take you to the office. They always try to do their best to help. They also offer prayer if you need it. They do have a men, woman, youth and kid's group. They do events for every group. If you ever need a church to go to this is a great place. If you ever need prayer you can give them all call. The front lawn area and entrance way serve as an ideal spots for picture taking. There are plenty of parking spaces. The inside of the main sanctuary looks simple and offers a warm lighting situation. This couple had a reception lunch at the Hilton Hotel which is just within a mile distance from the church. I don't think there was a reception area at the church. You might have to find a local restaurant or banquet hall for wedding reception lunch or dinner. I was pleasantly drawn to the appearance and mood of the church. Cozy, intimate, comfy, delightful and cheerful were the words that described the feelings I felt just being present at the church.
