This is a smaller neighborhood Asian grocery that really does a pretty good job with providing the necessary ingredients you won't find at Safeway. Yes the bigger proliferating giant Asian markets might be worth the drive for larger needs. I shop at them regularly. But this place has specialized produce, meats, seafood, and packaged goods to solve your list needs. I noticed that they have large pork belly portions for when you want to do a Lechon roast. I'm getting one of those soon for me rotisserie. I'm looking forward to ordering a Bahn mi or at least taking home some of their fresh baguette soon. Last night I was too full of noodles to care. BUT the fresh made kimchee is amongst the best I've had including local restaurants and H Mart!!! It's exceptionally heavy in garlic and seasoning without being too spicy. Koreans may not care for this but it's my version of Asian crack! Can't quit eating it day and night when I have done and I notice there is none left over later to make soup with! At $4.99 for a standard tub it's affordable and really tasty. Even as a cooking ingredient.

Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.

The store looks a bit run down, and could probably use new furniture, but the food here is excellent. The kitchen is in full view so you can see that the food is prepared well. All the dishes i tried here so far are good, but chicken taco is my favorite; the beef is a bit bland. The price is very reasonable, and the ladies that work there are friendly. If you enjoy Americanized Mexican food, stick with Taco Bell or Azteca or something. but if you enjoy authentic Mexican food, you got to try this place.

Unfortunately, the owner was late enough. There were a few people who waited around with us to see if the store will open. As it did, we all rushed in to get our shopping done. Since it was my first time here, I had to explore the aisles of goods I was interested in. The one and only staff was very kind to show me where things are and explained they are also organizing the store. She was genuinely kind to explain some things to me and even gave me pointers how to make my snacks more enjoyable. I like that! They have a lot to offer from Indian to Pakistan goods as well. Awesome place if you ask me! I found my snacks and they are healthy as well as spicy good. I'm sold!

The friendly clerk was very helpful when we asked where we could find the spices we needed. Prices seemed to be good, if not great. There's a case of ready made snacks/desserts up front and a selection of fresh veggies and bags of basmati rice in the back. I took a delicious rose water lassi for the road from another cold case and my husband tried a salted one. Highly recommend if you need supplies to make your own palak paneer or just want to find some premade in the freezer section! We also found some delicious snacks that we've never tried before.
