The downtown school has a good reputation, but it's nestled in an area that is perhaps not ideal. The school northeast of La Mosaique is in an industrial area and loaded with portables. Mosaique is small, there's not a lot of room for expansion, the schoolyard isn't overly spacious. But it's a nice enough place, the staff generally seem like friendly, helpful people who care about children. I'm not in there every day, I can't offer an informed opinion about how it truly compares to other schools, but I'd say for the most part, it meets my expectations. We're happy to be within this school zone and when we moved last, we deliberately stayed close to the school.

The school belongs to a collection of high-level private schools, which include Upper Canada College. Students must always wear a school uniform, which includes pants, skirts, shorts, and sweat pants. The younger grades are in a separate building in the back. There is one building with the library, dance, music, and science. Grades 5 to 8 are in the two old buildings connected by the new part. Classes are limited to 18 students per class. The fees are $38K/y plus a one-time $9K registration fee. There are some small-size classes with a max of 10 students who need extra attention. As an example, grade 6 has 2 classes of 18 and one class of 10. The smaller-sized classes cost more. There is a medium-sized gym (half the size of a basketball court) with a stadium. There is a small-sized soccer field outside. On our school tour, I noticed 98%+ students are students of European descent. I didn't notice a single Asian student. The school is not wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms. There is free and paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2024-074

One of the staff told her that she is not allowed to look and she needs to leave. She was standing in a public sidewalk. What kind of harm a 60 years old grandma with a baby in stroller can do? The staff was very rude. Only thing I can suspect is there was some inappropriate behavior the staff was conducting that they dont want any public to witness. Parents beware.

Also prepare for your child to be spoiled for life because the clientele that can afford a $30,000 a year school are the wealthiest in Toronto. Lastly the school has no sports, school spirit, student life, and the "committees and clubs" are a joke. Nothing is taken seriously by the students except for academics, and the teachers and administration promote a miserable environment by only focusing on academics. If you want your child to be extremely bright but likely a nerd without a social life who spends his days at home either studying or playing video games then this is the school for you. If you want a well rounded happy child who balances his school and social life than this is definitely not the school for you. My personal opinion is to NOT send your child here.

The school tends to cut costs by hiring construction crews which: 1 - Caused a gas leak 2 - Flooded the school with tar fumes and made several people sick 3 - Work during school hours and disrupt class 4 - Take far longer than was originally promised Worse than this, the school doesn't let their students use the playground equipment in fear of injury and possible law suits, but is fine with feeding them snack which has been moldy on several occasions. To conclude, the School's only redeeming quality is that it isn't in service during the Summer.
