I thought I would surprise my hubby during this Pandemic with his favorite food, beef brisket and ribs for our anniversary..to go, of course. It was so delicious! The meat was Smokey and tender and so juicy . Our sides were Mac and cheese, green beans with bacon, red potato salad, and baked beans. All were very tasty. Portions are generous and the owners were super kind. They surprised us with a bottle of Martinelli's when I ordered and told them how I was surprising my hubby. So I called today a little after 4pm, just to ask if they take orders, and the lady was super sweet and took my order. I saw they had served the Kaiser staff a few days ago and it looked really good, but I wasnt sure what their menu was or how it worked. (Just call the number, they'll answer any question you have) Even though they stopped taking orders at 4, they took my order. The family platter I was told feeds 4, but we think more like 6! We got the tri tip, brisket, and ribs, which all were super delicious, with their mac and cheese, baked beans, cornbread, potato salad, and chose the peach cobbler for dessert. Everything was well seasoned and full of flavor. Their meats are tender and has a great smoky taste. Would buy everything we ordered again and order extra on the sides. Was recommended to Holy Smokes by a Friend. Tried them when their food truck was in our neighborhood and my family and I have become fans.. Have eaten Hoky Smokes several times. Definitely when they are in our in neighborhood or we hear they arw close by. Habe loved everything I have tried. Their Cole Slaw is yummy and typically not a Cole Slaw person. Great bar be que! Got ribs, pulled pork and brisket for a little party and I actually enjoyed so much I heated it up twice the next day for lunch and dinner! I'm not a big meat lover but this was pleasing to me and I ate leftovers wow that's a big compliment coming from me lol! Sizes or proportions of each were enough to feed about 20+ people only complaint was prices were a little high but local small company it seemed and I wanted to give them my support and we were pleased! My number one go to catering for smoked and bbq goodness. I also hired them for a wedding where they provided the tastiest street tacos. We experienced this company thru their food truck at the last Summer Jam in Discovery Bay. We had to wait in line for over an hour to place the order. During that time they ran out of the pulled pork and the BBQ beans. Then they completely forgot one of our orders ( which was a hot dog and a meat meal)! Come on now. As this was in Sept I would expect you to have your act down. One hour wait is just wrong on all counts. Food was just ok. Can not recommend this place. Too many other options. read more

My review is in regards to the Holiday meal. Due to all the great reviews I ordered a smoked Turkey and a smoked Ham meal. Boy was that a mistake the Turkey and the Ham were awful, The Turkey was charred and tasted like lighter fluid which they say they don't use , but whatever marinade or brine they use and the addition of the smoke was awful . The ham wasn't any better !! The only sides we could eat were the potatoes and creamed corn. I did send a message about the meal and they offered me a family meal valued at 60.00 , even though I had 310.00 worth of food we couldn't eat . I don't want to eat another thing from Holy Smokes . I would love to have some of my money back , but the owner never responded to that email !!! Buyer beware !! Our Thanksgiving was RUINED !! read more
