We were greeted with a "Howdy" which completely surprised us and put us on a happy path for breakfast. The service was exceptional with the servers being very warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in where you were from. The food was delicious with sizable portions and speedy refills on coffee. I ordered a small yogurt and granola that had me hooked with the fresh pears, kiwi, and orange segments. Served with sliced bread, butter, and jam which hit the spot. My husband was craving pancakes and it hit the spot and reminded him of home. The eggs on the side were perfectly seasoned and scrambled. The fresh squeezed juice was sweet and refreshing, the coffee kept flowing, and the chairs for the high tops were comfortable. Holybelly was so memorable that we bought a shirt and maple syrup to bring home. I would highly recommend this place if you're in Paris and want a reminder of home or just a damn good meal.
While searching TikTok for the best breakfast spots in Paris, this place kept popping up with rave reviews--so I had to see what the hype was about. I'll start by saying: be prepared to wait. I stood outside for about an hour, so definitely dress warmly. That said, it was absolutely worth it. The greeter was a super friendly, jovial guy from the States (Ohio, to be exact), which immediately set a welcoming tone. I ordered their most recommended dish, the Savoury Stack, and it did not disappoint. You get two fluffy pancakes (do yourself a favor and add the bourbon butter), eggs sunny side up cooked to your preference, and bacon--though I don't eat bacon, and they happily let me substitute with a hashbrown. I asked for ketchup, but it was on the sweeter side and not my favorite; I actually preferred the hashbrown plain. They also offer hot sauce, which is a nice touch. To top it off, I had a mimosa made with fresh blood orange juice--so refreshing and perfectly balanced. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cool, and the staff was genuinely friendly. If you're in Paris and craving a solid American-style breakfast, this is definitely the spot.

Therefore, I was excited when HolyBelly popped up as a suggested nearby breakfast spot. While waiting at the entrance to be seated, an animated & friendly employee greeted and seated us. We ordered two classic drip coffees, an order of the two scrambled eggs with sides of bacon and hash browns (me), and the Chicken Karaage (wife). Ten minutes later our what would be delicious meal options were being delivered to our table. The eggs were fluffy and made me realize that I need to perfect my personal scramble skills. The bacon was delicious with a good amount of fat on them (just the way I like it) and the hash brown (although tiny) perfectly complimented the eggs (I'm just now discovering the joys of mixing foods -after years of making sure that food items never touched). If you're looking for a delightful breakfast experience with good food, I recommend visiting HolyBelly!
I'm not a very big breakfast person but a good hearty American style breakfast that's not heavy always goes down well. I loved the atmosphere here. The place was homey but still felt modern. The staff was all so nice as well and were really kind. For breakfast I got 2 eggs with 2 sides. Scramble with bacon, a side salad, and corn bread along with a watermelon juice. The breakfast was light and hearty everything was perfectly seasoned. 8 months later and I still think about this breakfast. Possibly the best breakfast I had in Paris.
Wow, oh, wow. This place is the REAL deal. Specializing in breakfast and lunch, Holybelly closes daily by 5 pm. The creations here are delicious, every single one of them. Every day they have a new special. The menu is by QR code so it makes it easier for this. The eggs are the best I have ever had. Flavors and textures that seem impossible to replicate. The restaurant gets packed, even on weekends, so come early or prepare to wait. On weekends the line can go around the block! Menus are and servers can speak both French and English. Highly recommended!
Holybelly 5 is a gem! I'm seriously so impressed by the entire experience. From the atmosphere to the food to the service...everything was incredible! Holybelly is extremely touristy so English is spoken by most of the staff. The menu reflects the touristy atmosphere, but my goodness my pancakes were amazing. Thin, sweet, and oh so flavorful. I'd highly recommend making Holybelly one of your stops. I've heard the line gets long, so plan accordingly!
Short version: excellent food, excellent service, English menus, English spoken, go early or there will be a wait. So you are now 4-5 days into your trip to Paris and are tired of eating a croissant and coffee. You miss having an American or English style breakfast. You miss having a really good big breakfast. As you know or will find out, besides hotels there really aren't that many restaurants serving American or English style breakfast in the French capital. As such the first thing you will notice is that they will almost for sure have a long line of people waiting to be seated. Go earlier to wait less. They do move thru the list fairly fast and the inside space is bigger then it looks from the outside. The food is excellent and some of the best breakfasts I've had even compared to places in good ol usa. So many good choices and the menu is also in English! It was so good that we ate there two days in a row and got sat by pure coincidence at the same table. Get the full English that's my recommendation. The staff were very friendly and also English speaking. The French can sometimes not be very warm but here everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was upbeat. They have a great social media page on Instagram so follow them there. Also, the hot sauce and ketchup they serve in bottles can be bought so you can take them home. The hot sauce is so good. Overall recommended highly. I wish I could eat there everyday.
Whenever you are in Paris HollyBelly is a must to meet your breakfast needs ! A first time for me to shoutout the customer service before the food but this a must ! First off huge shoutout to our waitress Kristen ! She's new & from Ireland though you would think she owned the place 11/10 on customer service ! We ordered the Sweet Stack pancakes that came with hazelnuts, dates, peaches, strawberries, & house made whipped cream. 10/10. All of the additions on the pancake were fresh as can be. The pancakes them selves were the best I've had. Light, fluffy & flavorful! The scrambled eggs & over-hard eggs were cooked to perfection. The coffee was also great ! Merci!!
One of my favorite places for brunch when I was living in Paris in 2017. It was such a treat to revisit in December 2022 and see that not much had changed at this amazing spot. I cannot recommend eating here enough. Yes it's Australian influenced, but if you're coming to France for good food, this is GOOOOD food. Any drink or meal you order will be divine. If you need help choosing, order the savory stack. I repeat, always order the savory stack. The eggs are cooked to perfection and the maple flavors really shine through the bacon and pancakes. If you want something loaded with yummy fruit, the sweet stack is for you. I cannot stress enough how well they cook their eggs here. Do be warned that it tends to be packed. You might have to wait in line for a little, but it's worth the wait. You also might be seated pretty close to others, but once again it's so worth it.
Visiting Paris with my son who is on his way to Germany for soccer pro trials. After flying in on an overnight flight we were chomping at the bit for some French food. Hot belly was our first stop. Started off with a Latte. We didn't take long with the menu and we both ordered a more or less traditional breakfastBrody ordered scrambled eggs with halloumi cheese and sausage. I ordered eggs over easy with halloumi cheese and bacon. We enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere all at once. First taste of a real French restaurant and we weren't disappointed. Very welcoming in hospitable service, considering the language barrier. I recommend to anyone near Gard du Nords train station that likes a hearty breakfast. read more

I loved Holybelly! A friend and I were in Paris in late April/early May and came to Holybelly for brunch and loved it. It's a very American-themed breakfast spot in Paris, which was surprising. The restuarant is bright and cheerful, and the staff are all very friendly. While every other restaurant in Paris greets you with "Bonjour," Holybelly greets you with a "hey guys." It stands out. Holybelly is popular so we hada small wait to be seated, but not too long of a line. For food, I had their signature stack wtih all of the trimmings, pancakes (delcious and cooked perfectly), eggs (no subs for sunny side up but got them fried hard), delicious bacon, bourbon syrup, and sauteed mushrooms (excellent), and ordered a side of scrambled eggs since I could not sub the eggs. Everything was really, really good! I also got an iced coffee and mimosa. I highly recommend and would definitely return to Holybelly! read more

Very American breakfast! Fantastic atmosphere. The bread, butter, and jam starter hit the spot. They had great coffee and some lovely freshly squeezed juices. I opted for the orange one which included some carrot and turmeric. There was a line of people waiting out the door for a table, which moved super quickly. The scrambled eggs showed up a little bit runnier than I would've liked, but that's just my personal preference. The hash browns were interesting, in a puck with a crispy outside. All in all, this was a fantastic breakfast. The service was very friendly here. read more

Simply delicious! We arrived right when it opened, and good thing we did because all the tables were taken within 10 minutes, and a line quickly formed. We got the two eggs breakfast. It was a nice change from all the pastries. read more

Truly excellent breakfast/brunch restaurant in Paris. BF and I visited on our first day of vacation. We were still getting our sea legs, suffering from jet lag and our AirbNb host recommended it in his book. Everyone speaks English, which was good for our first tentative foray with rudimentary Duolingo French. Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and cute with lots of little tables. When we left there was a line at the door. BF had a double espresso and I sampled a hibiscus Paloma. Both were excellent. The drink was not overly sweet. His falafel meal was amazing and a unique twist on the norm. My English scrambled eggs were light and perfect with mushrooms and grilled cheese. This is not what you think of when you think of Parisian food, but it was excellent. read more

It gets really busy here and had to wait on queue for a bit. Totally forgot that you can use the app to put yourself in queue as well. Got their savoury stack and chai latte which I really enjoyed. The stack was enough for two people, portions were big for the price. Really enjoyed the Bourbon butter with the pancakes and the smoked bacon was great. The flavour of the Chai latte was great and wanted to get another one but I was too stuffed. The staff was nice and friendly even with the way I spoke French. read more
I have been here twice with a friend during his annual late October visit to Paris, once in 2022 and once in 2023. Given the lack of reservations, we came both times in the middle of the week. Our first visit we arrived shortly after 11 AM on a Tuesday and waited around half an hour; the second time just after noon on a Wednesday and waited less than 10 minutes. The staff are all very friendly and efficient and speak English fluently. The ambiance is very comfortable and cozy; the restaurant, including the restrooms, are among the cleanest I've seen in Paris. It's definitely a restaurant that caters a lot to tourists but I don't think that's a bad thing given the quality of the service and atmosphere, and I know plenty of locals who really like eating here too. For me Hollybelly's pancakes are some of the best I've had in Paris. The texture is perfect and the balance of sweet and savory in the Savoury Stack is fantastic; I love the bourbon butter. There is a wide variety of breakfast (and lunch) items for any dietary preference. My friend tends to shy away from carbs and loves the eggs & mushrooms here. The drinks are also really good here. I especially love the London fog, which is sweet and aromatic, and my friend had one of his favorite dirty chais here. On my second visit they also had a really nice pressed beet juice that I really enjoyed. Although the line can be long, I think this place is worth the wait, especially during the week when it is less busy and the wait is much more bearable. I'll definitely be back! read more

Incredible. Don't miss this amazing breakfast place. The vibe is great. Music is fun. (Well, c'mon, the 70s is the best decade for music). Staff is very friendly! But- it's the food! So good! Savory pancake and sweet pancake were both good. I had the special quesadillas and the pico de gallo was fab! The filtered coffee was a hit - sadly no free refills. Holybelly feels like a nod to the American diner with the chic style of Paris. Very fun and delicious place! read more

Friendly service and tourist friendly. You'll see a lot of tourists come here, but a lot of locals as well. I got the two eggs with the seasonal side which was sweet potatoes, and a side of bacon. I also got the fresh pressed orange carrot juice and everything was delicious. They have Nut milk options for their lattes as well. I will definitely come back here if Im in the mood for a western breakfast. read more

Simple the best , better than all the rest Pictures don't do these pancakes justice , it's like a pancake and crepe had a baby and then but AMAZING mind blowing bourdon butter on it and the syrup was perfect! First bite made me smile which rarely happens ;this place stole a piece of my foodie heart and I wish it was not something I would have to wait to fly 9 hours to have it again . ** I would say the bacon was over cooked but the pancakes made it for it and more . English speaking staff there were nice and it's paris rare read more

If you're an American in Paris and feeling homesick then Holybelly is the place to go. We arrived right when they opened and there was a line out the door but luckily we were seated without a long wait. From when we arrived, it felt like they were rushing us, which is very different from how it feels at almost any other restaurant in Paris. My London fog was a bit bland. The savory stack was good, but a bit small for an entree. Once we finished eating, they quickly came around to ask if they could get us anything else and when we said no they said some things that sounded a bit passive aggressive such as "what's the plan next? are you gonna hang out here?" so we said that we'd get the check. They brought it and said "btw you're welcome to stay here as long as you want, we close at 5" which seemed like it could be passive aggressive as well since it was only like 11. I understand they're busy, but no other restaurant we've been to in Paris has been like this. Also, they asked if we wanted to tip and had a default of 20% which is very American, which I hadn't expected to find in Paris. read more

Omg!!! The line was stupid long! There was no paper waiting list, you have to download an app and put yourself on a list. Then wait till your number comes up. Unfortunately our French was awful, and I couldn't really understand what the app was asking. Fortunately the host came, gave us a hard time, then ended up helping us out. He was a sweet guy from the States. Food- ahmazing! I needed something filling since we were going to do tourist things all day- we got the loaded pancakes.. they were delish! I ended up also getting a mimosa, but they sent a Bellini instead. Luckily it wasn't bad. I'd definitely go back! read more
Came here for breakfast with my family. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! I ordered the savory stack with over easy eggs and a orange & carrot juice. My sister had the 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. Definitely the best meal we've had in Paris! read more

Holybelly is a super cute brunch spot. I ordered the sweet stack which came with kiwi, apples, oranges, and hazelnuts. I also added crispy bacon. It was almost too beautiful to eat. I opted for a pressed juice of carrot and oranges, which made me feel like a real fancy adult. Although, still the kind of adult that orders pancakes for breakfast. For those looking for a breakfast cocktail, there is a hibiscus paloma on the menu at the moment that sounds amazing. Both the juice and the pancakes were wonderful. My server spoke English probably better than I do, but I also heard him speaking English to other staff members so perhaps there is a fairly international group working here, or as other yelpers have suggested, speaking English is a requirement. Holybelly doesn't take AmEx so make sure to bring euros or another credit card. read more

Lovely breakfast spot! Short wait, but it was worth it. The pancakes were Devine, the pancakes avec Nutella were even better! lol. The hot chocolate was 6/10, a thin compared to what you're used to getting in Paris; but the OJ with carrot juice was so refreshing!! read more

Looking for a place for lunch around Republique, we got a recommendation to go here (from BuddyBuddy - also an amazing place!) and it was the best piece of advice. Food was so flavorful, very well-portioned, and perfect for "second breakfast". And they had iced-coffee ! Service was warm and prompt.
