CONCEPT: The owner is apparently looking to bring spirit of Alaska, her childhood home, to Connecticut, her current home. SELECTION: As I walked around the shop I was mentally trying to make sense of the concept, as with each turn around a shelf there was a new collection of items on display. The owners are very knowledgeable and even on their by-appointment days, if you call ahead with a specific need, they'll make sure to help you with your request. I am not allowing myself to buy too much else or I'd spend far too much time in the other side of the shop--if you're looking for one-of-a-kind items for your house or refinished/renewed furniture, though, that's something to definitely check out.
