I frequent this store at least twice a week. I know what brands I'm looking for and of course a bargain is always a bonus. Let me tell you about my BRAND NEW, AUTHENTIC, Louis Vuitton cross body bag that I scored. I've been wanting one for months and whenever I go into the store I always ask if they have one. Well, I saw it on social media and HAD to have it but I was in Virginia visiting my very ill mother. I flew home the next morning and had my husband drive me to Stella Rose. It was there and I grabbed it immediately. It came with the box, dust bag and it was brand new. I got it for hundreds off of the retail price. Now I just need to get the matching wallet. I would recommend Stella Rose to anyone who wants to consign or shop. The owner is not only honest but is quite knowledgeable about fashion. She has put amazing outfits together for me. Unfortunately, after many years of being a fan of this store, (and the new owner has done a great job at organizing the store), her consignment tracking is a huge challenge, and customer service is hectic and rushed. Like other reviews, I went in over the weekend and wanted to see what had sold and was told by a very nice employee that I had a balance of over $200, but I could only get a payout on Wednesday when the owner would be there. That was fine with me, I noticed she had a ton of new designer bags--some authentic and some reproductions. I was interested in an LV that was in a new glass case for $1500. When reviewing the bag, I was unable to find the authentication code that indicates the year the bag was born. Additionally, it was a newer model and LV microchips their products in 2021. If you often buy second-hand luxury designer bags you know that you need to have the NCF app on your phone. No chip was detected on the bag either. The employee told me that she didn't know and I simply told her that she might want to tell the owner to review the bag. I called today since it's Wednesday and the new owner was there. She answered the phone on speaker without letting me know I was on speaker. I don't know her well but thought we had established the beginning of a good relationship, although I was unable to remember her name correctly. From my perspective, I thought I was doing her a favor by bringing to her attention that someone MIGHT be passing off a reproduction for an authentic bag given the lack of LV ID number or chip. I inadvertately said I had stopped in on Monday versus Saturday and she was already attacking me about stating the wrong day. Odd and irrelevant. As other reviews indicated, she quickly became irate and raised her voice saying "Are you telling me that you are accusing me of selling knockoffs for real"? I tried to explain that the LV bag was presented as authentic but I wasn't able to find the authentication markers, but she kept talking over me and was hysterical and unable to listen. She asked if I'm an authenticator, blah, blah, blah. She was overly verbally aggressive. I'm not an authenticator, I'm the owner of a lot of luxury goods. This store has always sold fake designer goods with the prior owner and the new owner. Whether it was the slightly edgier Chanel T-shirts and jean jackets to the new Hermes H bracelets, but this was not my point at all. It doesn't bother me in the least because it's clear they are knockoffs. Having been an avid consigner for over 25 years (mostly in NYC), I have never had any problems. I'm an attorney and she tried to lesson me on my choice of words versus simply apologizing and saying that she would review the bag. She was challenging and confronting, but when I pushed back and asked her to show me the chip and LV number she refused claiming the back was sold in the morning (the back was on the counter in clear sight). She went so far to tell me that I would hear from her attorney for using the word "presenting". Umm, there is no case as there are no damages and/or willful intent. All this to say, this is a good store, but the new owner doesn't have the small-town vibe as before. She seems overwhelmed and unable to enjoy getting to know her clients. She should know her audience before she accuses them and threatens legal litigation. This is a small town and bad service news travels fast. She kicked me out of the store giving me a check with no inventory list of what had sold (as mentioned in another review). I asked her to prepare my other items for pick up. She indicated it would take 3 days and she would leave them outside. I told her that there was no hurry and/or need to leave my things in the rain. She can simply call me and I will pick them up. Damaging or exposing other's possessions to damage and/or theft is not a good idea. As with all second-hand stores, you need to be cautious and know exactly what you are buying. Not necessarily because the owners are unethical, but because many people do sell excellent reproductions as if they are authentic. They come with cards, dustbags, boxes, and even fake store receipts. The only way to know if something is authentic is to ensure it has the required markings for that brand. There are several online authentication services that are inexpensive. Both the new owner and clients would be well-serviced to obtain a COA. This interaction was beyond anything I have experienced in our close-knit community. Disappointing at best, abusive at worst. I was left shaken and very upset. The owner of this store works incredibly hard to make sure that prices are fair for both the consigner and the customer. When I was in yesterday with my daughter, the owner was dealing with a horribly rude person and from what I see that same person left a review exactly as one would expect. As someone who heard the exchange and who lives in this area and absolutely loves this store and the owner, I would caution anyone reading lengthy reviews meant to tarnish a local business, because they are typically written out of malice and spite by someone who wasn't given their way. What I can say is that this store has become a haven for women who feel comfortable and at home here- the owner is welcoming, kind and so helpful with picking out outfits. she helped my daughter yesterday find an outfit for an interview and we are thrilled with her patience and advice. Consignors Beware! This shop was recently taken over by new ownership. The place was highly recommended to me by a friend. I am out of state and my friend helped me give this owner merchandise for consideration and I provided the owner with a detailed list. I asked the owner several times if she had any questions about the items and she avoided answering telling me not to worry she will store the out of season items and only tag current season and rotate , I found this to be considerate, but concerning since where is the inventory list from her computer regardless if the items are tagged to sell or not. The owner refused to provide a written consignor contract and when items were apparently sold had refused to provide a sold list. RED FLAGS! I got a bit concerned. I asked about payment for my items and she gave me excuses that she would need to use Venmo and why I would want it mailed through " snail mail". STRANGE ! Then the Owner provided a picture of someone else's contract about 10 days before the merchandise would have become the owner's property! It was time to get my things back as there were too many red flags. I made an appointment to pick up my stuff with a mutually agreed specific time and confirmed a time window since I was driving from far. I arrived within that time window to pick up my items. When picking up the unsold items within the 60 day window of initial drop off, I received 9 additional pieces of merchandise that were not mine. Four purses I handed back to the owner and her excuse was she had an 8th grader collect my stuff. Really? The store was busy, cluttered and packed with merchandise , and I wanted to get home and gave her the benefit of the doubt as being a new business owner. I did get a check for "whatever was sold" and still no record of what was sold. The best practice would be to give me the check with a sold list, but that was not offered. When I got home to unpack the merchandise returned to me , I noticed 5 more items that were not mine and a lot of my stuff missing which is very disappointing . I addressed these facts in writing as this merchant uses Facebook messenger to communicate and I asked politely why she never sent me as promised via email the consignor contract documents and what happened to my stuff and why I received other consignors merchandise. The owner became enraged in her writing response to me, saying I gave her outdated merchandise ( wow, doesn't your store say "vintage" and if you did not want the merchandise I asked you several times to give it back) then proceeds in her response to defame me by calling me mentally ill and threatened to blocked me. Seriously, this is how you run your business and communicate to consumers. There is no value in being a consignor at this shop, beware! read more

This consignment shop has clothes beautifully displayed, much like a boutique. Everything is in excellent condition. I think it's well worth the trip here. And there is an excellent restaurant right across the street. My girlfriend and I sometimes make an afternoon out of it, shopping at Rebecca Christine's Consignment and dining across the street. My consigning experience has been positive. I think you have to be realistic about the price that used clothing will bring. In general clothing and accessories are worth about 1/3 of their retail price in this setting and the consignor gets about 50%. This can be disappointing for anyone expecting to get what they paid for something. With this in mind, I feel, Rebecca Christine's does a good job. read more

I would highly recommend Rebecca's store. She is fairly priced and encourages people to try things on and is right there being helpful when I needed her to find other things for me and she made great suggestions. Her store is not over crowded with her clothing and everything is either dry cleaned, pressed or steamed. Rebecca has a great variety of clothing for ALL sizes. She carry's a lot of Chico's and there line is very forgiving. She carry's some furniture and some household items that are very tasteful. She has brand new bags and gifts for last minute gift buying and I've purchased several consigned items and gave them as gifts as well. Oh God what I can say, it was a happy shopper until I decided to have some clothes and shoes as consignment. What a rip off I will never go back to the store either to buy or sell. Prices are so expensive compare with prices in regular stores and disadvantage when you sell because even that they said 50 and 50 it does not look like that. Went to the boutique and ended up spending an hour plus there trying on clothes. They have a great range of styles and left purchasing SEVERAL items to get my wardrobe the kick start it needed. Clothing is second hand but in perfect condition, some never worn it seems and the prices are more than fair. Being 'fashionably' challenged they helped me put outfits together I wouldn't have imagined and loved them. There is more than just jeans and tees!
