The best thing about Home Bargains is that they get new stuff in all the time so it's always exciting to see what they have in on the shelves! This store in Coventry is quite large but it tends to get a bit messy. The shelves are not always fully stacked and goods can be a bit all over the place. It also tends to get very busy and I've only ever seen a maximum of 2 tills open. So if you just want to buy a cheap drink or something, you may think twice about queuing for 20 minutes! Saying that, it's always worth popping in to see what you can snap up.

The good thing about HB is that is sells branded goods, so there are lots of real savings to be made. For toiletries and cleaning stuff it's the cheapest by far of bodycare / savers or even the market next door. It sells things like fairy dishwasher tabs for about a third less than the supermarket. Beware tho!!!! When you park in the car park for Aldi and Home bargains, there is a a camera that films you coming in and is very unobtrusive, but if you stay a minute over 2 hours, you will have a parking fine come through the post for £60!!

Then starts ringing up my items - 4 large bath towels and 6 wash cloths - I hand her a big carrier bag to put them in. I wanted to see the prices to make sure that they were discounted properly. What am I thinking? - that I am a customer maybe?? But only the sullen woman can see the prices and so I must insist that she turns her screen around so that I can check. I pay, then I hear "You OK?"
