Worst company I have ever had the experience to work with. The secretary Lisa is so incredibly disrespectful and rude, she yelled on the phone with us multiple times. We had an inspection done and then had an electrician come out a year later to set something up and he was unable to because we were told we had major major issues with our electric system. We went back to our report which had false information regarding our electric system . We called Lisa and she tried to gaslight us saying the electrician is just trying to get money out of us. So we hired someone else to come out who knew nothing about the issue and came to the same conclusion. We are now having to spend thousands of dollars to fix something that should have been caught during an inspection and is a fire hazard . FUTURE HOME BUYERS BE AWARE. We used home detectives 2X in the last few months. The first time, Drew caught a major issue that was covered up by the sellers that actually caused us to think twice about purchasing the house. I wasn't present at that inspection, but my husband was very pleased with his professionalism. Though we didn't go through with the sale, the inspection money felt very well spent. The second time we used them, we were also pleased with the team's thoroughness and professionalism. They had two inspectors come out, including Drew who helped us the initial time. 12/12/24 We recently hired Home Detectives for a property inspection in Ormond-by-the-Sea, and we couldn't be more pleased with the service. Drew Sault was our inspector, and he did an outstanding job. Since we live 260 miles away in Miami, we couldn't attend the inspection in person, but our real estate agent, Al Wilson, was present throughout the process. Drew provided us with photos and videos highlighting areas of concern, which gave us a clear understanding of the property's condition. We decided to have a home inspection on our home in anticipation of a future sell. We wanted to know what problems may exist so that they could be corrected before the house went on the market. We called them and received a call-back immediately. They scheduled an inspection in a timely manner and arrived promptly on time. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE ! You have been warned. They botched EVERYTHING about the Wind Mitigation Inspection Report and almost got my credit card information stolen. Drew, who came to my house and did the inspection (no mask) , WITHOUT a secure credit card machine (or I would have paid right there) said, "thats OK, he could just write down my credit card information and HE COULD pay it when he gets back to the office:,.(number/date/3 letter code)...Yes DREW said that. WHATT???? I laughed and I said ,.." do people actually fall for that?" He became annoyed, I could tell, BECAUSE that is an OBVIOUS thief tactic. NO REPUTABLE PERSON IN BUSINESS WOULD ASK SOMEONE TO DO THAT. Give someone you do not know your credit card information. Really? .....Just write it down, ON A PIECE OF PAPER. ........ Really?.....in 2021....Really?......I am already thinking something is up with this business. After paying ONLINE for the inspection report they got my address wrong, both on the invoice and the REPORT. Think about this....They screwed up the PROPERTY ADDRESS......A HOME INSPECTION SERVICE .......The whole morning to afternoon went like this.....they would send back a invoice and report with the WRONG ADDRESS. 6 TIMES TODAY, back and forth with phone calls and emails, getting my address wrong REPEATEDLY. Completely incompetent and Rude. DREW, cursed me and gave me the worst time, and hung up on me. Cursing at me for their mistakes. FOUR hours Later, between Sam and Lisa, the owners I guess, they finally made sure all my documents were in order, and said they were refunding me the charge to my credit card. We will see. I will update this review. But LOOK ELSEWHERE, or have your day RUINED, MAYBE YOUR IDENTITY STOLEN, if you are not saavy. I just called my bank to cancel the CC transaction just in case. Referred to me by my realtor who I felt would steer me in the right direction. I was wrong. After paying the invoice to get my inspection report, I immediately received another bill for $50 because they forgot to bill me for the crawl space. They made their problem my problem. Very disappointed in the service that was provided. This company passed our hvac system in our house we purchased less then 2 months ago. The hvac system should have never passed. It was very old and very dangerous. We called an expert in because on the first cold morning in November the heat did not come on. We froze for 3 days in the house. It was 60 degrees in the house and we have a little one. Very disappointed that the system would pass knowing a family was going to move in. We have tried contacting them about this matter and no response. Do not use this company for your home inspection! read more

This guy did the lousiest job as possible. He took maybe 5 minutes to check the whole house and the stuff he checked was so basic that I could do it myself. He said he will not check the AC, he will not check the plumbing. BOTH WHICH WERE DAMAGED AND ENDED UP COSTING ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OUT OF MY POCKET. This guy should be out of business.
