Honest unsponsored review Dec. 2022: After dealing with multiple home inspectors through the years, I can honestly say that this was the highest quality home inspection I have ever had done. Frank (the main inspector) worked very throughly on my home inspection (3 story townhouse + basement). The inspection report was 125+ pages, full of details and pictures of every single major and minor defect from the roof to the very foundation, inside and out. I was surprised by how reliable, timely, communicative, and knowledgeable Frank was during the whole process. Frank recently did our home inspection on our first home. From our first contact w/him, he was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. He was even able to accommodate a late afternoon Saturday home inspection when many people couldn't. He was very comprehensive and took almost 3 hours to complete the home inspection. He explained each issue thoroughly, answered our questions, and provided recommendations (and/or suggestions on what trade to contact) on how to address each issue . It was a rainy day but he spent time outside surveying the property and grounds while it rained. Highly recommended!!!! As first time home buyers we were already nervous about our first purchase and the step we needed to take to close. Frank made home inspection a breeze! Even in the mist of a snow storm Frank managed to inspected the outside of the home before the snow storm hit and even came out as scheduled to complete the job. Frank did a tremendous job going above and beyond for us home buyers. He took my call early on a Sunday morning. From there we set up the written agreement and timing - and Frank walked me through options including a general home inspection, radon test, oil tank sweep, and wood insect check. We were grateful to Frank for having availability on a Saturday morning. He thoroughly inspected the home and provided a detailed report (with color photos) including all details big and small. We were referred to Frank by another inspector... and so very grateful. We were planning on purchasing a 1000 sq. ft., 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo in an old building. Having been told by our family that most home inspections usually take about 2 to 3 hours, we expected him to go through the condo in about an hour. We were wrong. Frank was thorough and informative, right from our first email. When I provided the property address he immediately did some background research about the property. Frank was also responsive and efficient in the scheduling process. He searched every nook and cranny-including a crawl space that was only 3 feet tall with a 2ftx1ft access panel. It's a good thing too- because we found some serious issues in that crawl space. He brought a ladder into the house to check an attic with a small closet scuttle access and again found important issues there. He even went on the roof! Most inspectors do not go on the roof. If you're buying your first or your tenth home, you want this guy as your inspector. If you're the seller and your buyer brings this guy through...I hope you're ready because he will find everything there is to find! Our inspection took 3 hours and the final report was 150+ pages. The report was delivered via email as a PDF, and it included table of contents with clickable links and an end of report summary highlighting the most significant issues. We are very happy with the service provided to us by Frank. He's a little particular about his methods, scheduling, and not the most chatty guy during the inspection BUT believe me he's worth it. The property we had inspected is gorgeous, well maintained on the surface and only about 50 years old. We were not prepared for all of the true safety issues that the report un-earthed. As a first time house buyer, I just couldn't express how lucky I am to have Frank as my inspector. He is very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. He just seems to be really genuine to me.
