Home Helpers provided some of the most unprofessional and unsafe care I have ever encountered. In July 2025, my father paid over $10,000 for personal care services for my mother. What followed was a complete failure to deliver even basic, safe care. Caregivers were routinely late or didn't show up at all. Despite clear instructions that my mother was to receive care only from female caregivers, they sent a male caregiver anyway. Many caregivers appeared poorly trained and were unable to assist with mobility as promised. On one occasion, a caregiver dropped my mother on the floor. Even more alarming, caregivers failed to follow critical instructions to properly thicken her food and beverages. This failure resulted in pneumonia, an emergency room visit, and hospitalization, forcing us to end services early. Since then, Home Helpers has refused to return our calls and has not refunded the money owed, including the deposit and unused prepaid care. This company showed a shocking lack of accountability, competence, and concern for patient safety. If you are considering Home Helpers for an elderly or vulnerable loved one, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. read more

The only thing they are good for is getting your food benefits stopped so that you can starve to death. They set times to call and do not follow through. They do not care about anything but their paycheck, so what if they kill people in the process of getting that paycheck. read more

I had Home Helpers come visit while we were in hospital they sold me pretty good on their care. I should have done more research. I know everyone has bad reviews but now doing research and they are in the news. I can't believe I trusted someone so easily. No communication while in their care. The aids were late or didn't show up and when I called their rep. no calls back I asked to speak to manager again nothing. Do research before trusting anyone. Read ALL reviews (the last one given with a 5 star has same name as rep that promised me great care) Google the company ask for references. By far the worst company I've worked for. Very unprofessional staff. They lose care reports, treat their caregivers like pigeons. From the scheduler, payroll to the communication manager. They will schedule you 1.5 job that takes 40 minutes to travel and tell you, well you have gas in your car!! Lol UGH!! Not on my dime or time. This job was a joke!! If you want a respectful job. I wish it was an option to give them less than one star. No stars would be more accurate. This company is Unprofessional, rude, belittling, unreliable, inconsiderate and inconsistent with all aspects of their program. Office workers and aids alike. If you're looking for care for yourself or a loved one, i highly suggest going elsewhere for help with in home care. I can't even really describe how terrible they really are... the workers won't show up on time, if they even come at all. They require no experience to work there, so chances are, your aide won't know how to do much of anything. Oh, and did I mention the issues of aides talking about drugs, displaying signs of drug use, and in more than one instance talking about how they're still on/off drugs and partying all the time. No wonder their workers can't seem to show up on time.. there's no consistent drug screening/ overall monitoring of the aides to verify that they are safe to be working with vulnerable people who in most cases can't stand up for themselves! How absolutely disgusting. When reaching out to the office for help with your issues won't help, because they will give you the run around every single chance you get, all while making you feel bad for wanting them to do the job they're being paid to do. Simply put THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE NEEDS OF THEIR PATIENTS ONE BIT OR MAKING SURE THOSE NEEDS ARE MET!! Worst part is that the government is paying them to neglect the people they have been payed to help!! -left anonymously for fear of retaliation. Everything above is my true honest experience and my only hope is that I save at least one person from the abuse that Home Helpers labels as 'care'. It's hard enough to come to terms with the fact you need help to live, but to swallow your pride and hire a company to help you and then they treat you like trash-is a wound I'm not sure will ever heal. Save yourself, save your loved ones, spread the word about how this company treats its patients and save as many people as you can. No one should ever be treated the way they're treating people. This business I strongly tell you stay clear of. I by no means wanted to go through this right now with my grandmother going through a stage 4 liver cancer, but the owner didn't care. I asked specifically for a male when I signed up because my grandmother is 200 # 5 foot and said I did not wanted to see new employee s constantly. It feel on deaf ears because they threw so many employees my way to see which one would stick. They even had me train them! Not that I don't have enough to do watching a complete bed ridden cancer patient and my grandfather. They had a new person hired on Monday here on Wednesday with no uniform with her husband dropping her off. What happened to hippa? Started that day there was no deep background check. Oh and human resources never told me which person would ever show up. If elderly has Alzheimer's do not consider. Owner said I was a difficult customer too hard to please go else where this was my first agency. F- I would not recommended to an enemy.
