We had to change the time of our appointment and he was accommodating. Throughout the inspection he made sure to inform us what he was looking for and why it was important. He brought my boyfriend down to the basement with him to check the electrical stuff and taught him a bit about what to do with it (sorry, I don't know much about that so that might have sounded silly). He took pictures to document the inspection and got us the finished report within a few hours of being there. He allows you to pay after, but we prefer to pay up front for services as a show of good faith. Rachel, my real estate Agent, was aware of my concerns about buying older homes and the issues that can come up. I knew I would most likely need to spend some money, especially on an older home, but I did not want to be blindsided. I would never recommend this inspector, Frank, to anyone. I used him for a new house purchase, my…read morerealtor recommended this company. I had 65 amps going to my bathroom with no gfci outlet and it was not mentioned in the inspection, only a few open grounds in the living room outlets. Along with countless other electrical issues with outlets wired completely wrong, which I understand the inspector is not an electrician but he should've caught at least the bathroom outlet no gfci and the kitchen sink outlet no gfci. My bathroom fan was not hooked up and in fact blocked off. I was told it was there is "good insulation" in the attic, when in reality there was only R-15 and we are zoned for R-38-R-60. $500 wasted that could've prevented me from spending thousnads.
