constantly raising price of homecare services with little or no notice. Recently found out that owners have sold franchise to a person out of state and have not notified staff or clients. (Franchise: Montgomery Alabama) read more

Do not engage these services unless your loved one is in a bed unable to move and speak. They make grand promises of how they match services to the client but it was just a waste of nearly three hours of my time to listen to Erin's sale's pitch. We were so hopeful. The first young woman was nice enough but she barely spoke to the patient which was confusing for him as they (Alzheimer patients) need constant reminders. When a replacement was requested it was a week before she could start. When she did start we discovered she had no prior dealings with cats. As the patient has 5, this was a big issue. We instructed her on how to handle the cat and boxes etc., but she didn't return for two days. We were told on Thursday her grandmother died. No call prior to Thursday. And no replacement was available. Although Erin told us they always had a backup available. They would let us know when they found someone. We cancelled our contract and are still waiting for someone to pick up the lock box and return our deposit. Better off to hire a regular housecleaning service for the housework and a private individual as a sitter. read more

They had a burden to be able to help friends and family take care of their loved ones and Home Instead was the perfect fit for them. In that span, they have been able to provide care for thousands of individuals in Montgomery, Elmore, Autauga, and Chilton counties.

Meet the Business Owner: Bill and Sheila P.

Bill and Sheila Purnell have personal experience with family care-giving needs, as Sheila and her siblings cared for their aging father so he could continue living independently. The Purnells use their strong interpersonal skills, team orientation, and desire to succeed to help their clients "live life to its fullest" and to give the families of those they serve "hope and encouragement." In midyear 2023 they no longer accepted my insurance provider Cigna Dental. The only change for me was that MGM Dentistry moved from an in network provider to an Out of Network provider. Out of Network providers with Cigna Dental are still paid and I have a ZERO DEDUCTIBLE for two annual routine dental visits. After several requests to this group to file my claim correctly they have done nothing and continue to invoice me $250 plus for a cleaning that clearly is a ZERO deductible to me. To further complicate and inconvenience me is that MD is in the middle of replacing a warranted crown that I paid in full. The crown procedure cracked my tooth root and two months later I am paying an Oral Surgeon to extract the tooth and prepare my jaw for an implant. However I remain in limbo since MD can't get my coverage straight. I never asked for this situation and I feel MD has dropped the ball and is unwilling to take the task to manage a transition in insurance coverage created by their action.
