Reached out to coach Jason, and he definitely said he could work with her. We signed up for 4 private sessions, and after seeing the small improvements in a month, we signed up for 8 more. Facilities is waaaaaay out by barber point airport, but it is Big & spacious. There's a big open area to run & sprint, & there's an area with weights & gym equipment. My daughter does one session in the morning(930a) and another at night(7p) on different days, and obviously night is definitely cooler than the morning session. She tried 7a one time, but she realized it was too early for her. Coach Jason is AWESOME! He explains to us what she needed to work on and what he did for the day. There are tables under a big canopy tent to watch, and we love how he pushes & supports her. My daughter says she enjoys it, although her facial expressions during session says otherwise. But the results from coach Jason's training, she notices on and off the court, encourages her to have that "go get it" mentality and keep going back for more. We have seen Coach Paul on a few occasions and he is always friendly and acknowledges us. Mahalo coach Jason & phase 1 for helping us on the development of our daughter as an athlete. We look forward to continuing to come here for her, as well as the future when our 4 year old son can start training.

They started as a fill in during the off season only to turn into being a priority year round. Couch Paul is a huge motivator. It seems to me that he loves sports and the athletes just as much. No matter what sport, Phase 1 is there to train the athlete as a whole. You can see the effectiveness of the program when you see how hard the kids train for an hour or two and then walk away with a huge grin on their face. To our family the price is absolutely with the outcome.

They offer free learn-to-skate for the keiki and offer a youth/adult league for those who are ready to play. HiHi taught my 5 year old how to skate and she loves it! She is now a part of the beginner hockey program and practices & plays games amongst other kids of her level. My 13 year old son has also joined their 14u division and he loves it. He is always looking forward to practice and his games. HIHI does play on an outdoor rink and while they're working hard to get permitting for tiles and coverings, we are at the mercy of the elements (mainly rain / storms). The coaches and parents at HIHI are completely devoted to this program - they are there almost everyday coaching practice, coaching games and mentoring the keiki. They also offer pick up games throughout the different weeknights (and weekends after games) - open to anyone who wants to play. It's a lot of fun to be a part of - I have even started learning to skate and play hockey alongside my husband and kids - it's become a whole family affair! Being a part of HIHI is a family affair! Every correction is done in a positive and encouraging way, which really motivates the players to keep getting better for themselves, their coaches, and their teammates. I'm very happy with the coaching my kids are receiving and the support they get not only from their coaches but from their teammates as well. Because many of the coaches are also parents, it's clear they genuinely want to see the kids succeed, and that really shows in the way they coach. When we decided to switch hockey programs on Oahu, my kids and I were welcomed with open arms. I'm incredibly grateful they had room for my kids and treated them as aspiring players from day one. He was really enjoying basketball and didn't seem too keen on soccer (and actually hated judo although he was doing it the longest). Enter Nemesis Soccer Academy, founded this past summer (2018) by Ben Villaflor, who was a great soccer player in Hawaii. My son first said he was not interested in playing but decided to give it a shot because he found a pair of soccer shoes that he wanted to buy (and I refused to get it unless he played club soccer). Ben's vision and philosophy might be different than other clubs. The focus at my son's age (8) is on development of the individual player. It is to develop skill at your age and your ability - giving you the tools to grow as an individual. Yes, you are very much part of a team, but you're developing your ability in order to be the most successful you can be when all is said and done. Focus and the goal at this age is not on winning and goals - it is about developing skill, protecting the ball, being aggressive on the ball, ball control, touches on the ball and all the good stuff that comes with it. Yes, they will learn more to the game as the years go on. The boys at this age are given equal opportunity to touch the ball in games, play different positions and learn from each other. I'm shocked by how much skill my son (and really all the kids on his team) have picked up and have been able to use in games, and how much they have grown just in 3 months. Many on the team came from previous club teams so I can't speak to how it differs as my son didn't play club soccer before. But I've seen so much growth, enthusiasm, smiling and great attitudes. The boys are developing friendships, confidence and so much more. In just 3 months, my son went from not wanting to play to someone who will not stop kicking the ball around... the house, the park, I've found the ball in his bed while he's sleeping - it's everywhere. He even wrote a paper in school about soccer! The coaches have been amazing and the parents are equally as amazing too! We're grateful for an opportunity to be a part of this club!

From initially inquiring about personal training, Coach Taz was professional and prompt to respond and called me to review my goals and to see what would be a good fit for me and my boyfriend. He recommended the 3x/week hourly sessions with him as well as nutritional education. One of the good things about Gifted N Fitted was the fact that I could go on a payment plan; something that 24 hour fitness was unable to offer me in the past. The price is very reasonable, especially when comparing to other personal trainers at big gyms; the payment plan definitely helped me get started with my weight loss journey while not breaking my wallet! During the workouts, Coach Taz explains each exercise and is so encouraging throughout, even when I may feel like giving up, he's right there saying "10 more seconds! You can do it! You can do anything in 10 seconds" and lots more encouragement that really pushes you. He offers you to use his equipment to stretch after the workout and is never in a rush to answer questions. He also taught us and makes sure that we stretch properly before every workout too. We use the Band App where we communicate, which he also will send us reminders or our times for certain goals we've completed. After our first two months is up, we plan on adding on another month because we're seeing results and don't want to stop! Coach Taz is definitely someone we will be keeping in touch with throughout our fitness journey as he's given us this opportunity and push that we needed to get started. This store focuses on baseball equipment and apparel, including shoes, but also has a full indoor area for batting and pitching practice. They have a few dedicated stalls right outside up the ramp, ring bell to be let in. They have jerseys, cleats, gloves, belts, training gear, bats, balls, and anything else you could need. If they don't have the exact thing in stock, they can order it. The associate Ella working that day was very friendly and immediately helpful to find what I needed. I purchased shoes and a belt; they had just the sizes I needed and she was patient to help me find just the right things. I thought their prices were reasonable, plus it's great to support a local business over ordering online and potentially not getting what you need on time. I'd love to come back and check out the cages sometime soon. If you're a baseball fan or need equipment for school or community leagues, this is a great spot!

He has three teenage boys that are awesome baseball players. Anyway, the boy practices his hitting with Coach Jamie and most of the time, I am watching him hit. It gets really noisy in the batting cages. My watch tells me that it's too loud! There are screens up that would say where the ball potentially goes depending on how it is hit. It's pretty cool. Anyway, the batting cages make up a good portion of this space. The other portion is the store. The cashier is towards the back. Don't worry, they have to let you in if you are gonna buy something or even look around. I think the prices are fair. But I am not always buying pants, bats, or gloves. If you are a serious ball player, you must come here at least once to check this place out.
