Five stars for Veterans Roofing Service. I would recommend them without hesitation…read more
From my very first phone call, Veterans Roofing was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. They returned my call promptly and sent a representative to my home who clearly knew roofing and took the time to explain what he found.
About five years ago, another contractor installed a rolled roofing system on two flat sections of my home, along with a shingle roof on another section. The shingles were still serviceable, but the flat roofs had developed serious problems. During the original installation, workers had walked over the new rolled roofing and left deep boot impressions--some nearly down to the wood. Unfortunately, several of those damaged areas were also places where water collected, and eventually we developed leaks.
Veterans Roofing inspected everything carefully. Instead of trying to sell me an entirely new roof, they told me the underlying wood was still good and that the flat roofs could be properly repaired and protected. I appreciated that kind of honesty.
While their representative was here, I also mentioned three large windows that badly needed replacement. I was already impressed enough with the company that I decided to have Veterans handle those as well.
I got on their schedule in June, and there was a wait--and I can understand why. These folks are busy because they are good.
In early August they replaced the three windows first. I chose their higher-end windows because these are three of the largest windows in my house and are important for both heating and air-conditioning efficiency. The installation was excellent. Throughout the work, Veterans Roofing kept me informed and sent photographs showing the progress. Even if you could not be home while the work was being done, you could see exactly what was happening.
About a week later, their crew returned to repair and coat the two flat roof sections with silicone. Again, they took their time, worked professionally, stayed focused, and clearly knew what they were doing. They kept me updated throughout the job rather than leaving me wondering what was happening on my own roof.
There was another important reason for getting this work done correctly: because of the previous roof problems, my former homeowners insurance company had canceled my coverage. When I obtained new insurance, I explained that I wasn't simply patching things--I was upgrading the property and correcting work that had previously been done improperly. Veterans Roofing helped me accomplish exactly that.
I am a veteran myself, and I also appreciate doing business with fellow veterans. From the people answering the phone, to the representative who inspected the property, to the crews doing the work, I found everyone professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with.
They also offer financing options, which can make a major home project much more manageable.
If you need roofing, windows, or other work they provide, call Veterans Roofing Service. They earned every one of these five stars from me.
