I've called this group several times to pick up furniture and home goods. I like that I can call them - talk to a real person - and they show up on time. I wanted to support this store because it is a store with a mission. According to their website there are several of these non-profit stores. "The Home With A Heart is a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitation and hope at no charge to men seeking freedom from the bondage of alcohol and drugs through JESUS CHRIST One Day at a Time! Our eight-week program is based on the teachings of the Holy Bible and 12-step principles of Alcoholics Anonymous." From the road, this store looks worth checking out. (They have quite a bit of merchandise sitting in front of the store.) After checking that out I decided to go inside. There were a lot of men standing and blocking the entrance so I thought there might be another entrance but they moved when I asked if I was coming in the right way. Once inside I was a little disappointed. I don't mind getting dirty. If it's lots of stuff that doesn't bother me... I love to dig through junk to find a treasure! So the tightly packed small store didn't drive me away. However, the first thing that hit me was the store smelled bad. My second discovery was that none of the big items were priced. Quite a few people came and went while I was there. If I was near the other Home with a Heart stores I would stop and check them out. I probably won't visit this one again unless I want to do a DIY project and have the time to have someone price those items I'm interested in buying. this store has some nice finds if you're looking for used furniture. however, it is very junky, and it smells inside. It looks more like a landfill. The clothing is all piled up in the corner, stacks and stacks. nothing on hangers, nothing folded, and all the other items are all thrown together in cardboard boxes. so, you gave to sift through it. It doesn't take much to organize some items and sort them. People donate their items here, and you can also buy items. proceeds are used to support the home of the heart transition housing program. Better to donate your items to the dream center resale store where your items are appreciated and treated with value. read more

Fantastic store and mission. It is more like a garage sale than a thrift store - you do the digging on your own to find treasures! Do not come expecting clean aisles, displays, and items with prices marked on them. This is an adventure and you'll likely find some amazing items for cheap! Nothing is marked, so you have to ask, and the staff has been rude every time I have gone. Third and final time. WILL NOT RETURN! Today my friend and I waited for someone to come inside so we could attempt a purchase. I understand the unloading process but the store needs staffed too. I asked about an item and a man said a dollar and then another guy jumped all over him saying "he had not been there long enough to give prices" Mean while we stood there over hearing all this drama. Love this thrift store! Never know what you'll find, prices are great, and the money goes to a great cause!

Been here a number of times. I buy furniture for people and charities that need tables, chairs, cabinets to help them furnish their "new" home. A 'guardian angel" that I stumbled upon on Next Door Neighbor has an incredible skill to find housing (Section 8, HUD, etc.) for homeless men and women! Some have things while others have virtually nothing. Was just there this past Saturday when they were just opening. The amount of stuff that they were bringing outside from the store was massive as the furniture consumed the large main room. They probably had 6 people moving stuff out of the building AND several full trucks. So, it is hectic at that time. I realize they do not put prices on furniture. I do not look at most other things so I cannot make a comment on that. The stuff I buy there is in good to great condition and the pricing very reasonable. Their MISSION is exceptional and a tremendous commitment to those in need! read more

We bought a treadmill from the easley store on Saturday and didnt have a trailer to pick it up so since they are closed on Sundays we told him we would be here Monday to get it and we live 45 minutes away. He agreed that we can pick it up Monday. So mu husband made the 45 minute trip to Easley to find the store closed. He called your other store in easley to see if someone could help him get what we paid for and no one answered so he drove out to the one he called across the street from 5 Point Church. The guy behind the counter was VERY RUDE and disrespectful and rude! My husband asked him if he had the number of the guy who could open up the other store he said he did, so my husband asked him if he could call him and he said no. So my husband said that's bullshit and the guy said Sir your cursing at me, get out of the store and I'm going to call the cops! Your suppost to be a Christian facility but have people working for you like that, that could potentially turn people away from Christ bc they do not have a heart for God! Even after we finally got ahold of someone in liberty and he called the guy from the Easley store, they said no one could open the store for us to get what we bought. We agreed on Monday and now you guys have wasted our gas money, our time and refused to help! This isnt a Christian place!!!!!! read more
