For a furniture store, the prices here are decent and are much cheaper than what you would find in furniture retail shops. What I will also say is that the quality of items on offer here are particularly good and this place is well worth a visit. It is a big store although there were some cramped areas. Staff are excellent and they will happily help you out. Having spoken to the staff here, I got the impression that they really are passionate about the company they work for. They also care about their customers as well which is great to see. And I'll also say you can have plenty of banter with them. A decent furniture store and one shop I might well visit again.

The theme is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Not surprising really, considering the owner/proprietor also has a gift shop called Mad As A Hatter directly opposite! The tearoom, aptly named The Tea Party! (what else!?) is very child friendly, with high and low chairs, with pushchair & wheelchair access, two toilets (one of which is also the nappy changing room) a selection of reproduction, upcycled, ornate seats and chairs to choose from, it provided a cornucopia of dizzying delights to bombard the eye with an original look to an otherwise oft neglected part of Bearwood. As a stand out, it really provides a change from the generic high street cafes and as an independent cafe/tearoom. It's going to offer a "library" where patrons can simply read or work on their tablets/laptops or other electronic devices, a "gallery" for local artists and photographers to display and sell their work, craft workshops and rooms to hire to either demonstrate/teach "crafty" things or simply have a small party! The whole concept or venue really offers good value for money and can easily become the creative community hub of Bearwood. Watch this space! It's open 9.30am until 5pm.

As it is, in Bearwood, would you believe, it is a fine place to while away an hour with a friend over a pot of tea or coffee. A lot of imagination has gone into making this a fun and relaxing place to be - from the pretty tea pots leading to the entrance, to the delightfully mismatched furniture, hand painted cups and cuckoo clocks! The amount of stuff in the shop on West Bromwich High Street is staggering. There are tables, bookcases, chairs, stools, footrests, wardrobes, chests of drawers, the lot. The prices of a lot of the stuff are quite high - we're talking £150 for a restored bookcase. Generally this is because it's proper old-school hand-carved stuff and not horrific 1970s cast-offs which line their aisles. Most of it's not particularly my taste (or in my price range) but the quality is fantastic and probably far better than you'd find in a lot of antique shops.

I'll tell you now, this is some mad little charity shop that the Air Ambulance have got going on…read morehere. At first glance, it's the usual kind of low-budget charity shop with a few boxes and rails of stuff outside. When you walk in what hits you is that all the clothes which line the side walls of the shop are arranged according to colour. If you think about it, this makes a kind of sense, but when applied in a retail situation has an incredibly disarming effect. It's like wondering into some bizarre colour co-ordinated tunnel with a bold red section bleeding through pink into white and green melting into blue through a mix of chiffon, silk and polyester. I picked up a handful of obscure 70s soul records (the kind that sound like funky porn soundtracks) and took them to the counter at the back of the shop. I think it took the two ladies sat having a brew and a chat a minute to realise I wanted to buy something because they just sort of looked at me for a sec. I'll definitely be visiting this wonderful little aladdin's cave again.
