Overall very stressful experience after having multiple repairs after hurricane Irma and un…read morecovering un foreseen problems. If something did not go as discussed with contractor it was made out to seem as I had misunderstood. Tile guys left furniture out on porch for days, flooring was originally supposed to be completed within 4 day time frame, when in actuality it took a total of 13 days in which I was out of my home. When I informed the contractor there was a white substance seeping up from grout I was told to just mop with vinegar more than 6 months later white residue continues to seep up through grout. It got to the point I just wanted to be done with Microtech, wrote my check and moved on.

I had Microtech come out and look at a mold / water damage problem I was having with my siding…read more They came out and provided an inspection. After the inspection I received a thorough report which included the findings of the inspection, the sources of the damage and the recommendations to fix the problems. The owner of the company even called me to personally review the report with me and explain the process of how I could coordinate moving forward with getting the situation under control. They were really helpful with providing answers and suggestions without any pressure. I really appreciate that. I really felt a sense of trust with the company. I highly recommend Microtech for anyone in need of assistance in addressing a mold or water damage problem.

Paid $1900 for a deep cleaning of a house that was mostly clean, moving in. I am not even sure…read morethese people did any work, supposed to be 4 workers for 7 hours, yet 2 hours into the job I get a call they are leaving for a lunch break, that should have been the tip off. Wasted $1900 bux. Drawers had trash big stains, showers had soap scum and soap bars left over from previous owner. I honestly do not even know if these people even did any work. Cobwebs all on the windows. No clue, I guess when unsupervised you get shotty work, shame on me for trusting them without being on premises.

Met Chandler from this Servpro franchise while he was up in New York with his disaster response…read moreteam, and he immediately made time to survey the catastrophic damage to my home. Within 15 minutes, he had already completed laser surveys of the dimensions of my home and worked up a quote, as well as suggested tentative days his team could start. I won't say it was cheap, but they work fast and do exceptional work, which I will take over cheap any day. Inside of a week, Chandler came back with signable paperwork in hand and his team behind him ready to roll. Ryan and Ray worked with me to cart hundreds upon hundreds of pounds of personal effects outside where I cataloged them for salvage or total-loss potential. They were soon joined by Vinny and Adam to really get into the hard part of the work - tearing out every water-damaged wall, door, or shelf and exposing the foundation of the home. A mold-killing agent was sprayed, the floor was power-washed and wet-vacuumed, and a half dozen high-speed fans and two industrial de-humidifiers were deployed and left in my home for 5 days to finish the job. The team were well-organized, fast, and smart about the way they went about the work. Maximum attention was paid to ensure that no further harm was caused to my home, and a gentlemanly spirit was displayed by the group, broken by some good humor and camaraderie. Disasters happen, and no part of the world is completely safe from them. I've had mold in my home from previous issues, and it's not a pretty thing to remedy if not caught early in the growth. Call these guys first, because if you don't, you'll likely need to after the "cheaper" bidder made a hash of your home. They live up to their motto of "Like it never even happened", and if disaster ever visits my home again, I will be calling them first.

Project - $400K add on and remodel to $600K home…read more Quality Average The final product feels like a new apartment rather than a million dollar home. Mistakes: On the day of move-in, many problems existed in a supposedly completed home, including: Hot water plumbed to toilets (120 degrees) Only cold water to showers No water pressure in sinks No attic ventilation Leaking pipes Door handles falling off Unsecured and uncapped gas lines Went through 6 different supervisors on the project. There was no consistency due to constant turnover and no one knew what the prior supervisors had done. They were not my advocate. This is a business that looks out for profit and not for providing a quality service. Efficiency Poor 1. Was told they would start the project in 3 months. Actually took 6 months to start. 2. Was told it would take 6-9 months to complete and it actually took 14 months. 3. After completion took 5 months to complete the punch list. 4. Total of 25 months. For a project that should have been completed in less than a year. Cost Charges are ambiguous and unethical Their billing system was highly erroneous. I had to review bills with a fine-toothed comb and on multiple occasions found the "mistake" of over-charging tens of thousands of dollars, but never any under-charges. They would also charge for upgrades that never took place. Originally, they tell you that a painting subcontractor will cost $10K along with a 20% supervision fee adding up to $12K. What ends up happening is they choose an alternate subcontractor of the poorest quality that only costs $6K but will still charge you $12K, making a 100% profit on what was originally a 20% fee. Also, due to the unsatisfactory work done by the low-grade subcontractors, jobs will often have to be redone multiple times. For example, my house had to be repainted four times. Overall, the unclear and dishonest system creates more problems and ends up costing much more money and taking more time than originally discussed. Recommendation I would never use this company again. I would only recommend them to someone who I would want to have a painful, expensive, poor quality experience.
