HomeGoods St. Davids - tons of options for Himalayan pink salt. Got 56oz/$6 (at WF it was 9oz/$7)
    L L.

What I like: - Always, St. Davids has better stuff. They have certain items that just aren't offered elsewhere, and are just better. - When things get marked down, they don't tend to be as beaten up, or with missing pieces, like other stores. I know that kind of doesn't say much, but if you know TJX stores, you know what I mean. What I don't like: - I feel like I have to clean up in this store just to shop! Recently went to look at baby items, and it was mass chaos! And this wasn't clearance, which is always chaos, this was new merchandise! I found myself sorting everything and combining like items on the same hooks because they were all over the place... basically I was doing someone else's job! Grrrrr. - I haven't had a rude employee experience as others have mentioned, but I have had a question and have not been able to find a soul available, which is annoying. Admittedly, I do not shop TJX stores that much, but I have been on a binge lately b/c I have been buying up salt lamps and essential oils. So my comparison of this with other local Home Goods, is based on my recent obsesion, not longterm marathon shopping, like I had time and interest for when I was younger. * * * TIP * * * It may have been mentioned, but is important still to note for newcomers, that this store is around BACK in the shopping center. You need to drive up and around the main building, and you'll see HG in back next to Giant.

Fantastic finds. Found so many different things that you don't find in other stores. Great selection with reasonable prices.

The sales staff here have been pleasant, but I mostly consign clothes here. If that's what you are…read moredoing then note you won't get a billion dollars for your stuff. I find they mostly have a price SET for certain items and it doesn't necessarily matter if they come from high end stores or run of the mill ones. Also you get a percentage based on that set price.............30% 40%. And when you get your check when the contract is finished it really is a small pittance, but if you do it regularly it adds up. I'm quite surprised at some of the clothing brands they do take cause some come from TJ Maxx which is in the same shopping center, some come from ummmmm Kohl's or Boscov's.............but hey if it's your style than go for it. And they do have some nice shoes and purses. I suppose the people who have high end name brand make out the best cause the percentage is higher. I would definitely visit the store if you thrift just know it's pricey- but you do get clean clothes.

This place is a joke. I've been browsing their inventory for the past year and a half; so, when I…read morewas told they only deal in "name brand high end designers," I thought I was in the twilight zone. The rude person inspecting my clothing never introduced herself and told me to go back to my closet and find more high end items then come back. (Not likely.) I find it ironic that this enterprise, part of Nordstrom, which is where most of my clothing is from, was not interested in pristine Nic and Zoe, Madewell, Zella, etc. Linen items she didn't recognize (bought in New Orleans and Miami, were also passed on. Better consignment shops to deal with.

During a girls ' lunch in Wayne, I recently stumbled upon Neighborhood League Shops and discovered…read morethe treasures they sell and the opportunity to consign items you would like to sell. You've heard the saying, "One person's trash is another person's treasure." After refreshing and restyling my living and dining rooms, I found some less-loved items that someone else might enjoy. Knowing I planned another visit to the King of Prussia area, I brought my no longer loved items to the Neighborhood League Shops, a nonprofit in Wayne since 1912. This is my first time consigning. I learned that each drop-off is limited to 15 items, and no books are accepted. The ladies in the shop were very friendly. They explained the consignment process and accepted my two boxes containing less than 15 items. When shopping for preloved items, the quality and value of these older, well-made products are second to none. The Neighborhood League Shops offers an excellent selection of reasonably priced cut glass, crystal, sterling silver, etc.

She especially wanted to check out the Alley Door, which she described as more "eclectic " than the furniture and clothing stores. We first went into the housewares and furniture store. The main floor has lots of cut glass and fine china pieces, jewelry and some art. A few lamps. Not a large space. Laid out well and clean. I headed to their basement, which had more everyday "home decor" items, some linens, small electrics, etc. I saw many lovely things, though nothing interesting enough to purchase. We then headed over to the Alley Door, which is around the corner. Despite it being almost noon in weekday, and a sign stating they open at 10, the store was dark and locked. Huh? We walk back to where we were and ask about this. They know nothing, they said, just that the cash box had not been collected. That's it. I imagine these stores are run by volunteers, and it's a good cause. I'm not sure I would make a special trip to shop there. When I'm in the area, I'd go again.
