These include weekly counseling, assistance with HEAP applications, weekly walking activity on the boardwalk near the carousel among other means of assistance. Every week a nurse stops by my house to take my blood pressure and oxygen levels. My encounters with their personnel have left me with uplifted emotional feelings and have bolstered my health and attitude. I strongly recommend their services for senior residents on the North Fork of Long Island. Bruce Berger

Wow! What an experience! This non-profit was founded in 1946. This organization has been a staple…read morefor veterans and communities for almost 80 years! For a clear reason, they are a well oiled machine. You can volunteer your time or become a a foster for pups, a trainer and more! The love for community and service is abundant and apparent. I was fortunate enough to attend their "Recognition Day" event. They allowed a self guided tour through the facilities, you could meet trainers and campers, puppies and adult dogs. Some being trained during the event and some old timers just doing their jobs. It is clearly a well organized and loved organization.
