Just picked up two chairs that I had reuphostered by Larry and his team! After decades in my Grandma and Grandpa living room, I inherited these two chairs in 2007. I love them - they are just the right size for my home. They moved with me from Chicago to Milwaukee in near perfect condition...and then I got a dog. She got bored one day and decided to take it out on one of those chairs. She claimed the other as her spot in the living room for comfy afternoon naps. I finally decided it was time to get them fixed, and I cannot tell you how happy I am with the outcome - the process was seamless, I completed a form online, emailed a few times about cost, brought my chairs to the place, picked out a fabric, received a quote by email, and three weeks later - paid and picked up the chair. Long story short, or maybe not, as I am just get'n goin, Giddy-Up! I have had other work done over the years by Homestyle so why this turned out this way threw me. We both know many of the same people in Oak Creek. I even lied to him about work always being top notch when in effect he has always had trouble making lines line up. (See photos) Had A sectional worked. He had it for 5 months. I was very patient, I am a patient person but this was getting irritating. I had the cushions redone by him 10 years ago but f'd up getting to dense a foam and it was like laying on a surfboard (150lb guy) so I was very specific about replacing to a less dense foam. Over the months he had this I emailed twice to remind him to replace the foam because I was afraid of what happened would happen, he would forget. I even requested to come down and approve the density of the foam because this was so important to me, to sink into the couch. Actually I was going to send him an email to make sure he used new foam of the same stock and not some salvaged from somebody else's previous work as there is various used foam laying all around where the foam is kept. (another reviewer states the same). Welp I come to pick it up and I notice the first picture right away but until I got it home I would not know if it would be OK. So I am 60 and need to find somebody to load this into my truck and take it to him, time out of my busy life. The corner section he try's to fix by "stretching the material rather than cutting and fitting a proper piece. It does not work so I have to modify the frame to cover his crap. I did not want to load it again and take it to him. I have to round up a friend again get the other three pieces there, more hassle and time, and he decides he wants to charge me for his mistake. So after telling me in writing he will take care of this he wants to charge me for his mistakes, well if that isn't ghetto I tell him. So he tells me he did put new foam in but forgot to update the invoice, a $500 loss he says. Hehehehe nice try I tell him but if he had put new foam in all four pieces would be of the same density. It is a 5 piece sectional and I never had the one recliner redone with the other pieces as it was fine to sit on and sink in. It is the same density as when I took it there, softer than the others. He trys to convince me that it would be to soft if I went less. He is 225 and I am 150 and I tell him I am not concerned about anybody else but my comfort as I am on it 24/7-365. Somebody that visits and sits on it for a couple hours I could care less about. I tell him to piss off as I have had enough BS from him. My final email to him; This was supposed to have been done from the get go. Not only did I specify this when I dropped off the sections, I also sent you two emails in the 5 months you had my furniture in which I reminded you not to use the same foam ( cuz I was afraid of what happened would happen. I have come to the conclusion moons ago that I need to tell people how to do there jobs sometimes, to kinda help people do what they should properly do. Such as the painter I hired and just assumed he would prime the walls before painting as we were rehabbing a home. Nope, didn't do it and painted over grimy, I mean grimy, walls before I caught it.) Two emails in which I stated I would come down there to approve the foam before you upholster the pieces. This was so important and crucial to me I sent you two emails within the 5 month period you had my furniture to remind you not to forget to change the foam when you do the work. Those emails were sent on 12-14 and 1/24. I can forward them to you if you deleted them from your system. Then on 4/24 I sent you another about adding more stuffing to the footrests' so my legs do not rest on the wood like they do. read more

CAUTION: These folks don't do springs. They say they do, but they don't. They threw away my springs and put in cushions. I gave them two chairs and took another when I picked up the first two, not realizing how uncomfortable the cushions would be. They looked very nice, but when they told me they did not replace with springs, I said for the third chair to keep the springs in the chair. When I picked up the third chair, the springs were sticking out of the bottom of the chair. I said that was not acceptable, so they put a piece of wood under the springs. The chairs with the cushions are very uncomfortable. If you have a chair with springs, go elsewhere. read more

Had a leather chair's arms re-upstolstered and seat colored for a fraction of the cost of what a competitor quoted me. Very creative in their ideas, willing to work with your budget and in my case completed the job a week earlier than promised. Could not be happier and would highly recommend.! read more

They re-covered some bar stools for us and they turned out great and were priced well for the quality. The location is somewhat hidden in Bay View but the place is impressively large inside. They appear to do cars, boats, furniture, etc. If we need anything else done we'll definitely take it to Larry. Very nice guy to work with also. read more

They do good quality work but they are also pretty pricey so it's a trade off. Friendly service, turn around time was adequate. May or may not repeat pending how much pocket book is feeling. read more

I took old cushions in for replacement. New cushions look great till they got on the boat. 2 1/2 " shorter then originals they used 20 year old foam as temples. I had to have new ones made elsewhere. read more

When I called Homestyle a few weeks ago to learn a little bit more about what they offer, a quick general quote for the reupholstering service and turnaround time, he was courteous, to the point and polite. A few weeks later, I called to confirm I was going to drop off my dining room chair seats for reupholstering, he told me to bring them in and he would have them done within a week or so. I received a call less than 24 hours later that they were done and ready for pick up! They look great and I'm so happy with the work they did. Good upholstery work. But can't recommend the shop as they broke my car's automatic trunk pull down & left it for me to repair & broke several door panel clips leaving the leading edges of the door panels loose. read more

I had 4 chair cushions replaced and reupholstered the service and quality of product was excellent. They came in at the price estimated in the timeframe promised.
