Our group of 7 each found something, from vintage watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, Asian, African, Catholic, Christian, Buddism, Victorian, 70s, 80s, 90s, Mermaid...and so many more. We spent over an hour picking jewelry. There is a daily sales board right at the front, so you can save even more off the very reasonable vendor prices. There is a selection of furniture, books, and other items but to be honest we never made it past the vintage jewelry section. I spent less then $30 for 2 earrings, 2 bracelets, and 2 necklaces. Visiting the Wagon Yard was near perfect on a recent trip to Granbury. Allow me to explain. South of North Texas you'll find in recent years newly made in Mexico metal signs with minimal tack weld featuring everything from Longhorns, Aggies, Wine, Bar's open...etc. Point being I found every room unique and a bit above the norm for Texas kitsch. Ok, a few things are a carbon copy. Yet, I found some excellent pottery and signs that I haven't seen before. Alot of aviation options, and furniture that seems to be from the area with options for customization. Glad I took a stroll a half block of the square and visited the Wagon Yard.

It's a lot, around 500,000 dollars per year. A contractor friend then told us about Boys and Girls of America, so we started taking things there. We learen everything earned at the resale shop (on 377) stays in Hood County. Nice. Then our neighbor started volunteering at People Helping People (PHP), which we did not know about. We identified more with PHP and what they do. No one gets paid. It's all 100% volunteer, all the way to the top. We even saw a past Granbury mayor volunteering here! So now we take our items to PHP, and have even shopped here. There are two, indoor, resale shops. When we need something, we come here first. I found a great pair of matching cufflinks and tie bar here. Thúy got some nice knives to use in the garden and some cake pans. So now PHP is our go to place for donating, and shopping for hard to find items. We saw some kids running around without adult supervision, and wanted to note that there is so much old and fragile stuff that it really is not an environment for kids. The old books were fascinating. Lots of classics, but the prices were terribly high for the awful condition of the books. Hubby complained of getting a headache from the old musty air in the store... could probably use a good airing out.
