i would not recommend this consignment store at all!!!! i took over 200 items in between first of…read morejuly and the first of august!!!! i never have taken anything to a consignment store!!!! just usually donate it! i took over 100 pairs of shoes spring, summer, fall and winter!!! over 75 pairs of jeans and pants, and about 22 designer skirts and one pair of pants!!! all of my clothes and shoes are designer and high end....every pair of shoes were in there original boxes.....a lot of my designer jeans had tags still on them....a lot cost over a 100 to 150 dollars!!!!! i was told that we could not bring over 25 things in at once..... but after they saw what i had they said bring all of them in!!!! i did not bring the fall and winter shoes in till the first of august....they said they did not start taking winter stuff until august 1st after july!!! so that's exactly what happened!!!! the first time my husband brought all the jeans he hung them on there hangers!!!! he also brought 2 1/2 large lawn black bags of summer shoes in boxes!!! never heard a word from them.....then the first of august we still had a few bags of summer shoes and 3 bags of fall and winter shoes and a large box full of jeans...over 70 pairs of jeans in a large box....and 22 skirts and a pair of pants on hangers.... wooden hangers and i wanted them back....which i did get back!!!! when my husband brought all of this in the second time....2 women that worked there came out and started helping him bring everything in and told him they would hang all the jeans in the box up on hangers and he took my good wooden hanger off the skirts and pair of pants and told him "oh this is great and we will do the rest "!!!! we never called until a week later and asked about the first time we came with all of our stuff and asked about how you pay us for what you sale. they told us they send out a check on the first of each month for our items. we asked if anything sold and asked about a list of our items...how they do that and ask for a copy. never received a copy and they said they could not email it and the printer was out of ink!!!! plus we were told by september 20 something that we had to have all our stuff out or they keep it and donate it!!!! not sure of the exact date, but we came and collected our stuff that we brought in and got the list that day!!!! i did not have to have a list because i knew what was mine in the store except for some jeans.....this is the kicker!!!!! we got there my husband, sister and myself.. i went first and found all my shoes that was on the floor, which was no way the amount of shoes i brought in and the list had only 50 pairs on it and most items did not have the name brand of the items i brought to elizabeth dean's boutique on the list i was given!!! we collected everything that i could see in this boutique that was mine..... after i collected everything i asked the owner where is the rest of my shoes and items that you did not sale? i told her that there is a lot of shoes that you did not have on this list.......she had know answer about them and said there is nothing in the back!!!! i asked her about a few things i saw in her store that looked like my designer shoes and a few pairs of jeans i saw that these items had another id number different from mine.... i knew these shoes were mine and these jeans were mine!!!!!! this was her reason why my items that i brought to her to sell was under someone elses account!!!! patricia....said that people come in and buy these clothes and shoes and then wear them once or twice and then bring them back and she resales them under their name and account!!!! what! so you sell these cloths over and over how many times????? she said this and a coworker also confirmed she does this also...oh, yes this happens a lot!!! you cannot do this in a department store.....once a tag is removed you owe this and then you get to go back and resale this item again.....also, patricia said they donate these clothes after 60 days.....my husband, sister and i asked her several times who do you donate them too? she could never give us one name that she donates these clothes to! simple question and i would think you would say one or two places that you make a donation to. i have learned a lesson here!!!! i am not saying that consignments stores are bad!!! it's a good way for people to buy things that they may not be able to afford... but, i am saying this store has not been honest about my experience and items that are missing and was not on the list and was not sold!!!! only thing i can say to the owner of this boutique....is.. you need to decide if you want returning customer's that have good clothing and items to return to your store. you need to be honest and forthright! shame on you!
