Awesome looking produce everything was really fresh. I got the feeling the owners care. Very clean place and the kid running the check out was fun to talk with, he had huge smile while he worked. I was super impressed with the meat counter. Cuts you would never see at the chain store without asking to have them specially cut. I realize you have to have higher prices to keep a small store open in a small town. Their attention to the customer has won me over and I will stop back in.

Employees are rude and 9 out of 10 times they never ask me for my points reward card (yet they ALWAYS ask the elderly customer in front of me, behind me, at the next counter, etc.). They never say thank you, have a great day, nothing. They follow you around the store and watch you like they think you are going to try to steal a turkey or something. Groceries are 2 to 3 times more expensive than Des Moines stores, so we buy the bare minimum here. I would prefer to shop locally and support local businesses, but they need to teach ALL their employees good customer service and how to smile and be friendly to customers. Of course, I've learned nearly everyone from Iowa is rude and that no one in this state understands good customer service anyway.

And when I got there they were hassling some guy about his receipt for his toilet paper.
