She did not know how to do transfers. (Wheelchair to bed, wheelchair to car, etc). After many requests, they sent someone to help train her, but most of her training came from my dad's therapists from another agency. After she was finally fully trained and we all felt comfortable with her caring for my dad, and no warning, they fired her. We're not sure why, they said she was not following some of their rules. My 92 year old mom had warmed up to her and she was quite the helping hand to her. The next placement was in no physical condition to be trying to transfer or take care of my dad. The third placement was a very strong personality. These caregivers are 24/7 and it is important that personalities mesh. She was taking excellent care of Dad, but mom was having a hard time warming up to her. She had a take-charge attitude and it was a little hard for mom to handover some of her duties. They were working it out and a few times feelings were hurt and mom lost her cool. I think for 92 she was handling it well. Things were moving along and everyone was starting to feel comfortable. My dad had developed quite the soft spot for his Caregiver and we were very pleased with her. Then once again, without notice, they fired us!! They would not even try to work it out with us. Worked out the week and we had to scurry to get a new agency in AND start all over again. This has been quite the setback for my dad. Find another agency.

4 minutes agoNEW-Edit As this is a business that does…read moreeverything to encourage positive reviews -ie they continually send messages please review us- I felt it is worth warning people about this company. My father has Alzheimers and was in a memory care unit. The unit required us to hire 24 hour nursing as he was experiencing psychological issues and was going to be transferred to a facility- we spent over $30000 for his care, and because his transfer to the other facility was touch and go based on a number of reasons, we tried to warn them of an ending. We spoke with Charlene and asked how much notice she required and she told us 1 week. At that point we did tell her ok, he will be gone in a week, and he was. My father was discharged a day earlier on Thursday April 29,2021. When I received the billing I noticed we were billed through April 30, using the same caregiver- see the picture. What is odd is we were billed for the same caregiver who apparently sat with him for 24 hours as we were billed for her 8 hours thursday and then another 16 hour shift the following day. Since he was discharged on Thursday afternoon, I just figured they were billing us out for the 7 day notice, which is perfectly reasonable. I called to get copy of all the bills so I can reconcile , and I was suprised to hear from Rochelle in billing that we were being billed yet another week because we did not give notice. We immediately called Charlene who referred us back to Rochelle - Great the person we gave notice to, refers us back to billing. I know elderly care is a big business, and I certainly think people should earn their money. We had no problem with the bill, even billing out the 7th day per our notice- but to send us yet another bill 2 weeks after my father had been discharged seems to be a bit much- On May 10th we received a bill for 4072.50 billing us for 5/1-5/7. My father was discharged on 4/29/21. While we have no problem with the service, we most certainly do have problem with the billing. I write this to caution anyone who signs a contract to do the following- review bills carefully, attempt to avoid the ACH , which might not be possible, and most certainly send your notice in a certified letter so you have proof. This company will use any "gotcha" they can. And remember, companies who solicit reviews, are doing so for a reason. Everything I have posted is true and accurate, and I have the paperwork to back it up. Possible litigation requires you to have your ducks in a row. If anyone reading this has had the same problem with this company, please feel to contact me. Perhaps we can pool resources and stories.

If I could give 0 stars for this review I would. However, I had no choice but to give a 1 star…read morereview. This agency has been nothing but headaches... time and time again. There was another review stating about how this "company is all about money" and I could not agree more. They barely pay their nurses the amount each one deserves as I'm sure the office personnel lives very well off instead. If you think they have customer service.... sorry to inform you, they don't. If you get to speak with anyone from the office, all you get is attitude. basically, it's their way or you are pretty much left with no other option. Unfortunately, There isn't honesty or integrity from the agency and if you don't have that from the office, most of the time you receive this from the nurses too. And it's funny to say that most nurses say the office made them lie. Example: one nurse was told to say she had been in contact with someone that had COVID (now remember how this is not even something anyone should joke about especially dealing with the elder) and only lied because she has to work another case. Can you imagine how we as the family felt knowing that our loved one could had been with a nurse who had been in contact with someone with Covid?! Not only our loved one but us ourselves had to all be tested just to find out the office and the nurse had lied to us!! Most nurses (definitely not all) are hard-working people and willing to adapt to the environment while others don't last a day with their new case. Each family is considered a "case". Again most nurses, want to work longer days or OT but this agency sends another nurse to a case they are not familiar with and without training. The agency's logical is completely a joke! Should a nurse willing to work OT, it makes more sense to send the same nurse to the same case they normally work rather then someone who can't be trained. The frustration level dealing with this agency has been less than professional. To the point where they don't even pick up your call (I'm sure they have caller ID) but even so they can't even return your call. Listen, I could keep going and reveal more on how this agency works however, the advice I give to those looking for someone to take care of your love one is to keep looking for another agency. At this point, I have had so much knowledge of what NOT to do that I could one day open up my own agency because the lack of EVERYTHING with this one is a total joke.

I would normally give one star based on my experience overall, but I am giving two stars because the OT Jamelle and the PT Kelly were wonderful with my dad and providing family training. I myself am a healthcare worker and I'm aware of what the services should entail. They are clearly vested in their businesses bottom line, not patient care. My dad was seen by an licensed PT for the initial evaluation and the he was then assigned to a PTA, who was very nice, but would've done absolutely nothing with my dad other than sitting in chair doing leg exercises, had I not requested she work on functional tasks performing sit to stand, walking with his walker and assessing if he could do stairs as he was independent and able to climb 14 steps prior to his recent hospitalization. Furthermore when the PTA did come she was only there for usually 30 mins max. As other people had noted in the reviews, and where I think the problems stem from, are the higher ups the branch manager and above. They did an awful job in scheduling caregivers and abysmal communication/responses when reaching out to them. Sadly this organization he really declined and I would not recommend them for any home health services.

If your loved one requires on going, nurse-level visits & does not need a full package of other unnecessary, bill padding services...... they will eventually drop the patient from care without any notice whatsoever to you or other health professionals involved (referring physician, etc).
