I came on a pub crawl and did enjoy my time here. It sure hasn't changed a bit from my hazy memory. I of course had to get the champagne on tap, but to be honest, it is not good. That didn't stop me from drinking it all, and then grabbing a beer before we headed back to the bus. The bartenders did a fabulous job keeping up with two very large groups making their st. paddy's day stops. I ordered a beer, ran my card and they gave me change back. Very gracious, I appreciate them!

The Homy Inn is hands-down one of Omaha's best dive bars -- and honestly, one of the best in the country. (Don't just take my word for it -- Maxim even said so.) This place has all the hallmarks of a great dive: low-key vibe, plenty of personality, and zero ego. The decor is a trip -- the ceilings and booth walls are covered in nostalgic odds and ends that'll keep you entertained every time you look around. It feels like every inch of the place has a story. They're famously known for having champagne on tap, which is as fun and fabulous as it sounds. The jukebox is solid, the drinks are strong, and the crowd is always interesting in the best possible way. Pro tip: you can bring in food from St. Peffers across the street, which just makes the whole experience even better. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, The Homy Inn never disappoints. A true dive bar classic.

If you're looking for a unique little dive bar, you've found it. I went on a suggestion because the have champagne on tap. They decided to close an hour early and we just Ubered to the spot and only had 15 minutes to get our drinks and go. My rating is lower because of the rush, so we didn't really get to experience a true service or take in the atmosphere long. I'm hoping to go again to give an accurate rating. I don't think they offer food at this place too

Omaha staple that I finally ventured to. Great bar with great people working. The bartenders are basically family and have been there for a long time. We went on a Sunday, so it was pretty quiet but we had a great time! They're known for the champagne on tap and the bartender told us all about it. It was unfortunately too late personally for me to try it.

Fun stop if you're in town. It's old school on the inside, but a fun atmosphere with friends. They have multiple booths and tables. Cheap drinks, champagne on tap and snacks. Staff is friendly and patient.

Visit, you won't regret it. A dive bar, with cool memorabilia, champagne on tap, and popcorn always ready.

They've got a decent beer selection and after a couple of big beers you can have a pizza from Sgt.

I even was there on St. Patrick's Day and it never got too full. The ambiance is a little dim, which I think is what they're going for, and they have pool, darts, and shuffleboard. The staff is always kind and helpful when I've been there, which adds to the welcoming, chill atmosphere. They sometimes will have crockpots out with food you can snack on. On St. Paddy's Day, it was a corned beef stew that definitely hit the spot. If you're not there on a game day or holiday when they have the crock pots out, they don't serve food for purchase (aside from some tasty bagged chips), so be sure to eat before or after you come, or you can order delivery from a few nearby places. And lastly, they are very affordable. If you're drinking cheap beer, like I do (which they have many options of), expect to spend less than $10 here for the whole night. For the low cost, chill vibes, and good drinks - you should definitely check out The Elbow Room!

Before…read moregetting married and having kids, most of us spent our mid to late 20's playing darts, shuffleboard and any other bar game on the weekends. So, when we get together these days, we like to find a place that allows us to nostalgically re-live those days. We thought the Elbow Room fit the bill. Turns out, we were partially right. It's our kind of bar generally. Kind of run down and dingy but a place where you can drink cold beer. In theory, you could also play shuffleboard and darts. This particular night the dart board was not operational and the shuffleboard table was marginal at best. They had no sand to add to the table and there are dead spots on the board where the pucks literally just stop. Not optimal. But, we were having fun and learning the nuance of the board was kind of a challenge so we spent quite a bit of our evening playing anyway. When you walk in, you are hit with a fairly strong musty smell of old bar. You get used to it and it's not a big deal. The bartender this night was a good dude and took good care of us. This is definitely a locals bar and it was a pretty chill group on this particular Saturday night. If you want to find a hole in the wall to drink some beer, this fits the bill. If you want to play bar games, you might want to go elsewhere.
