This was our first time experiencing the Hon-Dah RV Park & Hon-Dah, Show Low, Pinetop area and it was a pleasant experience. The campground is huge but can definitely use some widening of some of the roads. Some areas are an extremely tight fit especially if you're a BIGGER rig which we are. A great suggestion would be to have a campsite escort for when you arrive to help you locate your space & negotiate the crazy roads in the back half of the campground. As we watched other campers arrive & try to locate their spot it became obvious that the maps provided don't show the extent of confusion involved with locating your spot. Plus the street signs are difficult to read/see in the dark. Every staff member we've been in contact with is polite & friendly providing excellent customer service. It's a great place to stay but amenities are extremely limited but the peace and quiet are in abundance. The casino offers an excellent restaurant which was convenient. Great place to stay if you can look pasted the couple issues before mentioned. read more

This is one of the most beautiful RV parks I have ever seen! Loads of pine trees! I think every RV spot has several pine trees on it! And this is by far the largest RV Park I've ever seen - I think there are 700 spots! But it doesn't seem crowded at all! The staff has always been very pleasant. Be aware they are not open on Sundays and I could not find a check-in area if they are closed. read more

This was our first camping trip in our new Class B RV (1st camping trip ever) and I was worried after reading some of the reviews, but we had a great experience! Check-in was super easy and the staff was most friendly and helpful. We had a back-in site with sewer/water/electrical hookups + Wi-fi. All the sites had this which was nice. The roads were gravel with speed humps every so often but no issues with the speed limit being 5mph. There were a lot of full-timers there but everyone we met was super friendly. We had a great experience and would certainly stay here again! read more

It's a great park, location and manager. If you are coming here to go to the casino be very careful if you walk across the highway. Not pedestrian friendly. Be very careful because most drivers are speeding. Probably has be a death or a few before something is done for a crossing. read more

We came up to the Hon Dah RV Resort from Payson just to cool off as we had 2 weeks of 100' weather at home. We hadn't been there before and we're completely shocked at the level of hostility, rude words and gestures by the casino and RV park staff. I have never experienced this level of open hostility at any RV resort or park run by tribes in Arizona. The short term RV spaces are large but coverd with big chunks of lava rock. Terrible to navigate even if you're young. Unfortunately, many of the short term spaces face each other ... what RV park designer would place coaches facing each other and within 10 feet of the neighboring space ... insanity. We are looking at other RV parks in the area while we're here because it is a spectacular part of the White Mountains. Use your best judgment in reserving a short term (week) space at the Hon Dah Casino RV "resort" and be prepared to be accosted verbally and possibly physically. read more

Doubt that we would ever go back. Mostly full time people live there. Starting at 8:00 p.m. the people in the next site over began moving a trailer that had been there since the park had opened. Then they proceeded to move a shed. Moved huge boulders dropping them down shaking everything around. Knocked down the site number post in our space. Hit a shed located behind that site. This went on until about 3:00a.m. Security did go by & looked the other way. And should I mention that someone's tv or music was blaring with religious music . Ending with announcing that the pastor would begin laying hands on people. I felt very blessed by the end of our 2 night stay. Roads are in horrible condition with deep ruts throughout. Gas station is filthy. So no,Hon-dah Rv park was in no way a good experience. read more

We stayed here for three nights and loved it.Dorean Malone was able to find me a spot on a busy Fourth of July week. She was so helpful and super friendly. Great person to have dealing with customers!! The place has beautiful large sites with full hook up, Wi-Fi and cable TV. It rained two of the three days we were they are which was wonderful for the forest, firefighters and us. I would love to stay for at least a month next time as there is much to do with the casino and the small towns close by. read more

As mentioned in other reviews, very poorly managed. Made a reservation online with credit card and received a confirmation number. Get a call a couple hours later from the RV park indicating that they were full and somehow the web site allowed me to book one of two "emergency sites" and should not have - never heard of any campground having such a thing. Cancelled our reservation. My interpretation - we have someone else we promised this to even though you have a confirmation number. Now I have to go through the hassle of verifying they reversed the charges to my credit card and hope that is the end of ever dealing with this place. read more

We paid for a month. Medical emergency put my wife into the hospital and I had to leave a week early. They switched me to the daily rate and charged me an additional $200. 50 amp hookup was defective and burned out my Roof AC. Three days to fix the post. Lot looks like it has never received attention. Weeds and washed out lot. Nowhere to park our car. read more

I give this RV Park 4 Stars and not 5, only because the roads are really rough to drive and our site had mushy rocks that we had to back over to get the RV in the right area. It had rained quite a bit the week before and that may have made the rocks more mushy than usual. That being said, the sites are large and it really feels cozy amongst the trees. There are a lot of sites (500) and most of them are rented out monthly or even yearly, that is how nice it is. The sites have their own personalities, depending on the residents and their ideas. We spent 4 nights in our cozy site with patio and rosebush. The cable TV was great and the free WiFi was working without too much slowness. Full hookups. We will be returning. And by the way, the casino was fun and the buffet wasn't bad. read more

The RV park is operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe. It is in a descent location, only a few miles from Pinetop AZ. The good is the lots are fairly large, spaced out, and shaded. The bad is that it is poorly managed and maintained, the office staff is unresponsive and rude, and it is expensive unless you can get a monthly rate, which we could not. Most lots are bogarted on a long term basis by Phoenix Valley residents. The left over ones are the less desirable and are poorly or never maintained. We has an issue with no water pressure that prevented us from using our slide-out and only internal water for 2 days, with no compensation. Go elsewhere and reserve early for the summer, which we could not do. 2 stars for location and lot size only, unfortunately this is the current state of the RV park industry. read more

We re not the rv campground type ( we like back woods camping) however, this weekend my hubby and I decided to take our toyhauler and sxs to this rv park. The gals at check in super nice , the spots are somewhat spread out , the bathrooms / showers are clean. Pros: clean , pretty sites , well maintained , close to the casino, dump site and I'll hook up . Cons: the place is super quiet ( that could be a pro to most but we felt like we had to go to bed at sundown because many of the sites are full time residents, the place is HUGE & it's really really easy to get lost! Other than that we had a blast! No complaints ! We drove our street legal sxs around town and all the way into Sholow ! We lived it read more

If the wifi doesn't work, I don't rate over 3 stars and it didn't even come close to working for me on my phone. Oh, and when leaving from the building, watch out for the HUGE curb that jumps out at you!!! I jacked up my rim pretty good.... Stayed there for four nights. Bad site 137 had wash out and I couldn't my 40 footer close enough to the sewer dump. Dump had elevated opening making it hard to get the poop to run up hill. Asked to switched to another site close to friends but they cant change sites. There was no reserved sites but couldn't change me to one that no one was in and put them in site 137. Every site they wanted to change me to was not easy to get into with a 40 foot trailer due to the trees. While trying to get level the wash out didn't allow my auto leveling system to raise the right side enough and it snapped one of my leaf spring shackle. I advised them and asked if they knew of a welder. They said no we don't know but here is a phone book. This was Thursday, so had to get it fixed to leave on Sunday. Park personnel had no concern and never offered any advise to help. It was an I don't care attitude. Very little maintenance done on the sites. Trees need a lot of trimming and ground should be leveled out after rains. Weeds were notoriously all over so bad I wish I had brought my own weed whacker. Would not recommend this park to friends or family. read more

Great, reasonably-priced rv park with lots of full timers that really take care of their spots. The kids and the dog especially enjoyed the team of horses that galloped right past our spot. The roads aren't perfect, but the amenities and price make up for that. read more

We go to this RV park every year. Never had any issues with well anything. Cable tv works well, wifi is about as good as any other. What I like about this park is it has a lot of trees and greenery at a fair price. My wife enjoys the Casino as well. read more

I have stayed here many times and it is ok. I spend a lot of money at the casino, one of my reasons for coming here. But when you can't book a reservation 3 months in advance, they might as well take the website down. read more
