We recently moved into our new home and the first hot day realized that ac upstairs was not cooling. I searched online to find someone who could come out and take a look at the unit. Honest A/C was very highly rated. Tony did not disappoint. All the reviews were very accurate. He was a little later than he had said he would be but called to keep me updated. When he arrived, he encouraged me to be there while he looked things over and took the time to explain what he was looking for each step of the way. He discovered a small leak in a relief valve, repaired it and topped off the refrigerant. The unit is now cooling properly. The price was very fair and he was only interested in fixing the problem not upselling me parts or services I don't want or need. We had a problem with upstairs AC unit not cooling. They came out diagnosed problem after thoroughly checked out the AC system. I mean absolutely checking power, Freon pressure levels, air flow at the AC registers. Unit is 20 years old. Basically need a new unit. He was able to charge the Condenser unit to full charge (add Freon) unit is cooling good. Time for new AC next year and they are going to be first choice to do the upgrade read more

I thought I had made a mistake searching for a HVAC contractor on YELP. I entertained the first contractor who quoted me over $10,000 for a new heat pump and air handler. The next contractor listened long enough to tell me he only installs his brand machine and if I bought the equipment myself he wouldn't install it . The next heard the size and brand I wanted and said $8700, which is $3500 over the price I could buy the equipment from the internet. I was convinced the whole HVAC industry was way overcharging the general public that I bought the equipment myself and was determined to install it myself. I had email and text from Honest A/C through YELP and unfairly grouped it with the other contractors as being too expensive without speaking to them. I finally returned a text and it turned out to be a blessing. They allowed me to speak my mind about overpriced HVAC contractors and when I finished they agreed that there are many that will throw out crazy prices hoping for 4 out of 10 homeowners to accept. They assured me they didn't play games with the customer and if I had already purchased the equipment they would install it for less than the price of the tools I would need to purchase to install it myself. For as negative about HVAC contractors as I was in the beginning I am relieved that I can be so positive about my experience with Honest A/C. They installed the new heat pump and air handler I purchased and also a new programmable thermostat. They were communicating with me before the equipment arrived and rearranged their schedule to give me the time needed to do the job properly once I had the equipment. I didn't want to start a new career as an HVAC installer but it felt like the only way I was going to be able to reasonably afford it was to do it all myself. Thanks to Honest A/C I didn't have to feel like it was me against the world because they stepped in and proved there are still quality contractors making a living by treating people with respect and honesty. They both went over and beyond helping me with my warranty co. Witch I had been dealing with for 4 mouths. They got things done. Not only did they help with the warranty co they went over all my options, cost and time frames. Worked around my schedule. Showed and explained to me in detail what was wrong with my 2 units. Showed up for appointment's. What a blessing! I cant even begin to tell you how how much I appreciated all the extra effort. Both Anthony and Kaitlyn (put in hrs.) dealing with my warranty co.
