With all honesty, 2020 has been the worst year of my entire life, and I have been increasingly overwhelmed with the feeling that my emotions are continuously descending into a bottomless chasm of sadness and despair. Doctor Frixione is a godsend. She helped to lead me out of my darkest moments, and she shed light on a personal problem that I have been struggling with for several years. My battle started many years ago as I struggled to understand the most painful experience I was starting to have in my life. Admittedly, I am an introvert, and I am rather reluctant to share my personal problems even with my closest friends and family members. This behavior, combined with my hesitation about seeing a therapist, only prolonged my suffering. I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person, and because of this I erroneously believed that I could solve my own emotional problems. I had also never seen a therapist before in my life, so I saw no reason to start now. This was foolish on my part. After struggling for multiple years and seeing no end in sight, I finally sought help by confiding in a close friend and asking for his advice. I'll never forget what he told me. He said, "Would you allow your gardener to perform a surgery on you? Would you ask your dentist to work on your car? No! Everyone has an expertise, and even as talented as you are, people like you or I are not qualified to resolve something like this. You should seek help from a psychologist." My journey to find a trustworthy psychologist then began. Doctor Frixione was the number-one recommendation to me by my Primary Care Physician (PCP). I immediately scheduled an appointment with her and then began the process of explaining my struggles to her. She is truly amazing. She is easy to talk with and her expertise covers numerous areas, some of which challenge the vast majority of people throughout their lives. After only seeing her about five times, she already understood the root of my problem. Now, please understand this critical point: Doctor Frixione understood the root of my problem in about five hours, and this was a problem that I still did not understand after several years. And, I was still struggling with this problem too, so I obviously could not solve this on my own. Understanding the root of my problem was truly an epiphany for me. Doctor Frixione not only helped me understand the complexity of my problem at a fundamental level, she also referred me to several self-help books that could even shed more light on this from others that experienced this same problem. I was really amazed at how perceptive, sympathetic and helpful Doctor Frixione was for me, and quite frankly, I was also upset at myself for taking so very long to see her. I wasted so much time in my life by not seeking professional help earlier. Please don't be like me...if you need help from a psychologist, get it right away. And if you do need help and you live in the area, I highly recommend Doctor Frixione to assist you on your journey toward a healthier you. She has easily earned five stars for helping me to begin recovering from my emotional suffering, and for revealing a path forward for my life that is far more healthy and positive.

I decided that maybe it was still a good idea to let my son have a session with her because I have been looking everywhere for counseling/therapy services and I had finally got in I was excited about this whole situation, I was excited that my son might possibly be getting the help that he needed... he had two sessions with Ms bunny when I started getting text messages from Ms.Bunny to my personal cell asking for his dads phone number and address, I thought it was pretty odd because she was being very persistent and said she needed it by a certain time before she went on vacation... When I asked her why, she said it was for her personal records ....not even a week later I have DCFS knocking on my door accusing me of neglect and abuse on my child... I am humiliated, embarrassed, and I feel completely violated.... it took every ounce of me to not get pretty upset with the woman coming into my home, violating my privacy and accusing me of these things DCFS is interviewing everyone we know, pulling my son out of class to interview him at school without my consent or knowledge, visiting my house, asking if I have running water, checking if I have food in my refrigerator... pulling my daughter into this whole mess, making me sign papers that give them access to my children's medical records, threatening me with forensic testing if they feel the need, which would require my son to have to strip down naked in a hospital and have photos taken of his body HUMILIATING!!!! According to DCFS it is illegal to spank your children on the butt with a belt, I was unaware of this law, everyone I know has gotten a butt whoopin with a belt from time to time It is not something we have had to do often but the type of trouble that he was getting into, we needed something that worked... i'm trying to save my Son from ending up in the system and becoming another statistic. Now that we know this law, obviously we will never do it again... Ms. Bunny never talked to his dad, never talk to anybody in my family, and doesn't know me or my son.....I would NEVER beat my children or put my children in danger of any kind... I love them so very much... Not only has this brought heartache, stress and disbelief to my entire family, but I can hardly sleep at night, I can't focus at work, I'm having nightmares about people taking my children away from me, waking up crying, this is very traumatic All I was trying to do is get help for my son I would not recommend this place to anybody

Half the population has issues in their adult life, probably more in the stressful AV,and it is silly to suffer silently, or rely on friends with no skills, to limp along with spouses, kids, parents, coworkers, substance abuse, dysphoria. I've seen a few doctors at MFCC of AV and am very impressed. They are skilled, compassionate and affordable, even without insurance. Several take medicaid. They are not always accessible, and perhaps not a first choice for crisis interventions, but if you can work with them for 10 sessions or more on their schedule, your mental state and quality of life will surely improve. You will learn about yourself and take control. Don't think your problems are hopeless - get help. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
