After knee replacement surgury, I was experiencing some nerve issues in my foot. I had tried…read moreeverything and deceided to see If Acupuncture would help, thats when I walked into Acton Acupuncture. I Have excellent insurance as long as I stay within my Network. When inquiring at the front desk If Acton Acupuncture took my insurance and if they were in my insurance network, the receptionist took my insurance card and said "yes" as she called my insurance company. After hanging up, the receptionest told me that my insurance paid 90% and my deductable for the year had been met. She further told me that each visit was $70. So with the understanding that at most I would be paying $7.00 per visit, I agreed to try Acupuncture and made an appointment. After 4 Treatments with No improvement, I was told I owed $184.00 for the visits and not the $28, I was told. When I questioned this amount, I was now told that my insurance was NOT in network and I would have to pay this amount. After several phone calls, they refused to agree to the origional agreement of $7. (10%) Per visit. I was then told that my Bill is accually $150 more, but They would forgive this additional amount. After checking with my insurance, I saw that my insurance had been billed for 3 of the 4 visits, a total of $724.00 ( pending payment), not $70 per visit as told. If I would have been given accurate information, I would have never went to Acton Acupuncture and found a location in my network. This is not alot of money but it could have been If I did not discontinue my visits when I did. I am very unhappy with the service I received and would caution anyone that plans on going to Acton Acupuncture. Rob. Acton
