We got married on 5/18/24 at Paradise Ridge Winery and have nothing but wonderful things to say…read moreabout our primary coordinator, Marissa Sartory. She's kind, caring and an ally during our planning process. She's quick to respond to all communications, reassured us when we had concerns, understood our budget, and did a fantastic job anticipating our needs. After 9 months of working with Marissa, there was an unexpected turn of events caused by some turnover/changes in roles. We were informed that our day-of coordinator was now Paige Hough. Although Marissa was still our main point of contact, we now had to shift our trust to another individual who was to execute our wedding day wishes, which was unnerving. Most of our planning including vendors and major details had been taken care of in collaboration with Marissa, so we were flexible with our transition to a different coordinator/director of operations (Paige), even though it was not our preference. This is all not to say that our wedding was not amazing, but it was something that we did not anticipate and did cause added stress. Marissa continued to support us during the transition and made us feel comfortable with the changes; without her we would not have been as confident. We really wish we could have seen everything through with our original coordinator, Marissa, as she spent months helping us and investing her time with us, but it did not work out that way. Again, our day turned out to be wonderful with the assistance of friends, family, & all staff (milestone, Paige, and other) but we feel that since we had such a close working relationship with Marissa, there would be no cons listed below if we continued to work with her: Pros: -One stop shop for everything with flexibility in regard to vendors. -Things went smoothly as structured in our wedding timeline; no major hiccups or issues that we noticed. We had the assistance of the DJ, who is our good friend (DJ Willie G), who was additional help with coordination in terms of timeline and other details. Not sure if the day would have been different without him but we saw/know that he was one of our greatest allies on the day. -Catering: Food from Girl and the Fig (buffet style) was fantastic, and staff were attentive. Would recommend this caterer to anyone else. We had comments from many people saying "this was the best food ever!" -Rehearsal: We had an issue with a promotion offered to us initially, likely due to staff turnover in Milestone Estate Kitchen (MEK). Rehearsal was to be part of the Girl and the Fig catering package but some issues with booking occurred, and it was missed. MEK, specifically Dan, made everything right & it turned out great. We loved our alternative solution, and appreciate Dan and MEK for working with us to resolve the issue. We believe that if this was to occur with any other coordination service, this would not have been resolved in such a way. We appreciate Milestone, its staff, and Dan for helping us with this. Cons: -Potential for turnover and change in staffing which can add stress and be a detriment to overall continuity. -There was some miscommunication between the venue and milestone regarding where we could store our decor list items when we came for rehearsal. Instead of a private, indoor space as promised, we were told to keep all our delicate florals & decor items outside, overnight. we did not feel this was the fault of our coordinator but the venue, as they booked an event which required use of our promised space the day prior to our wedding, which is when we needed to drop everything off. Fortunately, Paige stepped up and offered solutions to either bring all the florals to Milestones' office and transport them herself the next day, or she return after the event ended and move the delicate items indoors. We really appreciated that she offered a resolution and accommodated us to ensure our items were stored safely. -As we were sent off prior to the end of our wedding, we were made aware by some members of our wedding party that some things weren't packed up as directed in our décor list. Some of the items which we wanted returned did not end up where they were directed to be placed. So, in essence, we are missing some items which we were hoping to keep. -We were made aware that an entire sheet cake wasn't put out and was almost left in the fridge. This was supposed to be served and/or packed up for us to take home. All in all, if we were to do it over again, we would still choose to work with Milestone. Their coordination services and resources were extremely helpful and relieved some of the stress involved with planning a wedding. If you follow their structure and timeline, and utilized their tools and resources, you will be set up for a successful event. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend their services to my friends and family. Thanks for helping us pull off an amazing day which we will remember forever.

We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees! Thank you, Kimberly for helping make our wedding one we'll always treasure and never forget! It was more magical than we could have ever envisioned!

My 14 month engagement turned into 26 months and I cannot imagine having gone through the challenges the pandemic and wild fires presented without Kelly. In addition to her gorgeous work, creativity, and connections in the industry, she is as genuine as can be and truly wants the best for her brides, grooms and their families. Not only does Kelly want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and fun as possible, but she also does an incredible job of getting to know you and making the wedding extremely personal. She got to know my husband and me in addition to our story and overall vision for our special day/weekend. Kelly goes above and beyond. For example, Kelly knew mine and my husband's love for Crumbl cookies and it became a shared love between all of us. She had the great idea to pick up Crumbl catering for our Rehearsal Dinner, which was also my husband's birthday, because she knew how special that would be for us. This is just the smallest example of Kelly's thoughtfulness throughout the whole process. Our wedding planning process presented extreme challenges between having to postpone a full year due to the pandemic and having to find a new venue/caterer/other vendors after our original venue burned down, but Kelly had my back every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to give us the best options while still taking our budget and preferences into consideration. The day would not have been possible without her and we are forever grateful for her dedication, her hard work, and her genuine love for what she does. Three months later, anytime we see our friends and family, they still talk about how perfect and absolutely stunning our wedding day and weekend was. I knew our day would be special but it was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and the ASE team went above and beyond in creating the most special, beautiful, personalized and intimate wedding for us and I will forever be grateful. I could go on for several more paragraphs, but in conclusion, if you are looking for a wedding planning team, you will be in the best hands with A Savvy Event!

We initially considered just eloping to the courthouse. It would be simple, cost-friendly, and likely worry-free. The more we talked, however, we began to realize that we truly wanted a day that was unique, special and a reflection of us. That's when I found the Run Away with Me website. I was impressed with the approachable pricing and simple planning process. Shortly after emailing the staff, I heard back from a coordinator who listened thoughtfully while I described my partner and I - our likes and dislikes. We actually didn't have too many expectations. I don't like pink or yellow, and we wanted something small and simple. In other words, I didn't give the team much to go on. The day of our wedding, I met with the stylist for hair and makeup. She was friendly and did such an incredible job. Meanwhile, the team showed up with the most peaceful aura. The setup was carefully planned and gorgeous. The flowers and cake were spot on. The officiant was well-prepared. I can say that our wedding day was amazing. We had a ceremony that reflected us perfectly. It was not over-the-top, and most importantly, my partner and I did not have months of negotiations with photographers and venues or worries about color palettes keeping us awake at night. Instead, we could spend that time building our relationship and working on our promises to each other. I don't really have words to express how well-prepared, professional and kind the team was. I highly recommend choosing Run Away with Me for planning your wedding or elopement! We are thankful that we did.

Horrible customer service, did not follow through with what I had planned for this special day. We had our wedding in March of 2019 and had hired Alexis and her team for our wedding coordination…read more We were excited to work with her and met with her several times in the lead-up to the wedding. We were told to expect several staff from her team on-site to help coordinate in our outdoor multi-site venue. She was even on-site the day before our wedding with an assistant to plan everything out. Then the day-of came, and Alexis did not show up. She sent her assistant with one other person, who we had never seen before and who knew nothing about our wedding. We were expecting Alexis, her coordinator, plus additional support based on our discussions up until that point. Having only two people show up day-of was alarming. So much went wrong on the day of the wedding, most of which she had told us she and her team would coordinate: 1. We spent the week before hand-crafting floral arrangements - many of which were not set out, even though our coordinators were responsible for putting out our decor. Our theme was "wildflowers," but you wouldn't be able to tell because a lot of it stayed boxed up. 2. Our wedding site didn't have enough chairs set up. Fortunately, the bride's mother arrived early and had to run around trying to find staff who could bring out and arrange the site. 3. Our DJ was supposed to be driven out to the wedding site in an ATV because it was muddy. The assistants apparently didn't know this though it was discussed, and so he ended up running late for the ceremony while he waited for a lift. 4. Our DJ was then supposed to be picked up from the ceremony site, but the coordinators didn't have a ride ready. In a rush he ended up driving his personal van out to the site and got stuck in the mud and couldn't make it back to the cocktail party and had to be hauled out. 5. The bridal party was very late to the ceremony site because the coordination staff wasn't communicating with each other or the site staff. The drivers, therefore, were running behind just because they weren't told about timing. Our guests waited in the sun at the ceremony site while the bridal party waited to be taken there. 6. The ceremony site was not set out the way we'd agreed and was missing most of the decorations. A ton of decor and flowers we expected at the wedding site stayed boxed, leaving us with an unadorned aisle and ceremony site. 7. The backup coordinators set aside none of the cocktail hour appetizers for the bride and groom - something Alexis said she would make sure to do. 8. The DJ came to us sheepishly at the end of the night, saying that typically he would coordinate payment with the coordinator, but they had left without notifying anyone. He went to the groom in the middle of the reception to make sure he would get paid. 9. Many of the guests spent the day picking up the slack of things we had agreed Alexis's team would do. We were agitated that they couldn't just enjoy the day after we went to so much expense in hiring coordinators. 10. The backup coordinator spent the day asking the bride and groom what she was supposed to be doing next and what we expected of her next. 11. The backup coordinator and her assistant were given walkie-talkies from the venue staff because cell phone reception was spotty at best. The venue staff was unable to find the coordinators when they needed them because the walkies apparently weren't often on. 12. Because of all this, the bride was pulled away so often she could not take pre-ceremony photographs with her bridesmaids. 13. Because the ceremony started so late, we ended up having to pay for an extra hour for our photographers and videographer to stay for the events we wanted to have filmed. We followed up with Alexis, and she asserted that they fulfilled their end of the bargain, and she proceeded to blame us for how everything fell apart and accused us of not being organized enough. She also said that enough chairs were at the ceremony site even though this was blatantly untrue, and we can prove it so with photographs and drone footage taken that day. Also, how would she possibly know? She was not there. Nothing changes the fact that the person we had been working with for five months didn't make it to our wedding, sent someone who knew nothing about our wedding to coordinate, and the day-of was chaos when it didn't have to be. Looking through photos of the day brings such mixed emotions. Having no pre-ceremony photographs with bridesmaids is one thing, but seeing pictures of our unfinished ceremony site is a heartbreaking reminder. Those pictures will last forever, as will those memories of a day that did not go as planned due to the poor coordination by Alexis Solano. All we can do at this point is to warn others against working with Alexis Solano Events for something as meaningful or costly as a wedding. If we knew then what we know now, we would have been better off hiring anyone else or just doing it all ourselves.
