I wish I could give negative 5 stars. I was fooled into hiring this company because of all of the fake reviews on thumbtack. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER I HAVE EVER HIRED! We hired this company to take the load off because of because of time and health challenges we are having. Angie made it worse and was no help! Angie is lazy, dishonest, lacks creativity, and overall interest in bringing your vision to life. This is the exact opposite of what you want for an event planner. We hired her for my sisters 40th birthday party. She was pleasant and accommodating until she got our money. She was supposed to find vendors like caterer, dj, 360 video, photographer, etc. Every single person she referred us to were overpriced, had no reviews/photos and/or lacked experience. She was trying to force us to work with her overpriced unqualified friends. My sisters fiancé wanted the oversized number 40 for my sister. The 4-6 feet ones. We got there and they were about 1.5 feet and sitting on a table. We paid her for an additional 15 place settings we get to the event and there was not enough seats. People had to stand. We asked her for a monogram light for the wall. She sent us a design with flowers that I knew my sister would not like. I asked her for other options... she said thats all she had and there was no time to do anything else. We contacted a local printer who did these lights and had it in 24 hours. Angie never even showed up. Her workers did and they were left to figure things out. She was supposed to do a nice digital invitation and manage guests. She created a bland free evite. We had to pay to do a green envelope invite and managed guests ourselves. Our food table was also not set up. THERE IS EVEN MORE but I think you get the point. Her attitude is disgusting and the experience was a nightmare. I hope this review saves someone else from having their event ruined by this company. They say first impressions are everything and Mrs. Angie Stencil gives great impressions. However, here service is less than. My other vendors expressed their displeasures of her to me, my family members asked where did I find her. After viewing her contract I was comfortable with signing due to the fact she was charging to attend a rehearsal dinner. My thought is how can you execute anything the day of if you are not attending. My husband wanted to use her so we hired her. Due to the fact that she was only hired to be the Day of Coordinator I didn't expect much from her other to visit the site to get an understanding how things would be set up(we had three areas), attend the rehearsal dinner, and do what she was paid to do for the day of events. Battle 1: The site visit. I reached out to her to attend the site visit and to meet with the other vendors especially the catering company since they would be providing the linen and Angie was in charge of decorations. Well Angie went to the site before the planned visit ( I was notified and okay with her visiting the site alone but she needed to provided details. We received none other than she visited). Only July 6, 2017 she texted me about the meeting with the hotel vendor and wanted to have a phone conference...she missed it. She worked out that day and fell asleep. I was able to calm my husband and said things happen when there is a late conference(7pm...in the summer). July 11, 2017, we texted back and forth and I told here we had some concerns about here schedule not meeting our needs. Angie called me that day and we had a conversation that completely rubbed me the wrong way; she stated that I am not the only one that is getting married and not to mention that she was going to Jamaica and had to prepare to leave the day after the site visit.This is when I wanted her completely out of my life, out of my event, and didn't want to be associated with business. My Husband and I had a conversation and he was to deal with all things regarding the Day of Coordination. This was short lived due to his current job out of the state. After speaking with my husband and the catering company Angie finally agreed to attend the scheduled meeting. That is another story in it self and I had to bring in my cousin to be a buffer so that I would not lose my dignity and self respect. Battle 2: The rehearsal and wedding. The rehearsal went as well as could be expected since we had another family getting married the day of the rehearsal. She managed what she could because that would have been a tough situation for anyone to deal with. I should here were all of the decorations were being held so that she could set up all decorations the day of the event. the day of the event she shows at 3pm for a 5pm wedding. In her contract it states she will set up and break down the decorations for the event which meant that my family, the groom, and the hotel staff had to set up the decorations and sent me back to the room to get dressed. The one thing that I was adamant about was no pictures taken during the ceremony, Angie was to announce this or have the DJ make the announcement (she didn't make one nor did she have the DJ make the announcement. I asked the DJ and my guest said no announcement was made and she had not given the DJ info to announce it either) when asked she said "You Know people don't listen and hurried us in to the ball room to walk down a fully lighted room that was to be dimmed. I mean what's the point of having candles burning if you are going to have the room full of light. The cake boxes she took home to assemble never showed back up which means I lost $100.00 in cake boxes, The decorations were packed carelessly which resulted in broken vases and missing linen. The one that that I was told about before she left was the roman column that broke and when asked she said something about the workers in the other room. The gifts and cards were to be giving my cousin and that didn't happened we had to go back to the room just to get those. I truly can go on and on about her lack of professionalism but the best I can leave any one with is DO NOT HIRE HER! I realize if you have no vision, no concerns of how things will end up, let her handle your event. read more
