The previous time many years ago when he was first starting, and even then his good character and business sense stood out to me. It's probably why I reached out to him again. Growing up as a "cop's daughter" sometimes my second-hand jadedness towards seemingly good character arouses my doubts. But if Jared is not genuine then I don't know who is. My grandfather was a general contractor, and I myself worked for a medium-sized commercial contractor for a short while so I am somewhat familiar with the challenges in organizing the work, including managing subcontractors. Jared's communication and management style is such a breath of fresh air. You just want to get behind his local business and see it continue to grow. Communicating to some of the general contractors in and outside the Corvallis-Albany-Salem area as the pandemic winds down, I now think the safer bet is to go big with Thayer Construction when the time comes.
