When we first chose Cheryl, she was nothing but responsive. She replied to all my requests right away and then weird things started happening. Examples: She wouldn't respond for weeks at a time then would say she was going out of town for a week. She misspelt my sister's name on all her tickets. She would respond to emails sent by my Aunt but list her son as the recipient (my aunt did all the organizing for the family) She tried to charge my mom a transfer fee a second time, when my mom brought up having already paid her she responded with "oh I didn't note it down before". She told us we would get a free flight and hotel stay for every 10 flights we booked. She later changed this to a certain amount of money refund, so we were still charged in Nov (our flights were in Jan). She then charged us for our flights and hotel in full and promised we would be refunded 21 days before we left. A week before the trip we still had not been refunded (we shouldn't have had a posted transaction at all based on our earlier conversations considering we were supposed to be given free flight and hotel for the 2 of us since we had 50 attendees) there were a few holidays but we should have received our refund on Dec 10th if it was 21 business days before, Dec 19th if it was 21 days before. Considering both dates were before the holidays it wasn't really excusable (her reasoning that the refund was delayed was due to Christmas holidays). The refund we did get was basically only the cost of our flights and hotel and an extra couple hundred dollars. She then couldn't send the extra to the card we had on file because she could only give the amount due? Then she proceeded to ask us for info for a cheque she would send us, considering she had all our travel info she should have known our address. She then changed her mind a couple times and decided to go with an e-transfer. We were also told at the beginning of planning she would be helping with coordination for the wedding, nope that changed and she gave me the hotels email and left me to organize. We were also only given our travel itinerary which was odd because normally when you book through an agency you receive tickets. Found out through a friend that you needed to use a booking id she provided in the email and check in online through sunwing. That's another thing she doesn't tell you she does everything through sunwing which is a charter flight pretty much so we couldn't use a big airline this means our "elite plus" seating was pretty much just slighter bigger seats even though I was in row 3 I didn't get any extra services. Her website was also shutdown a couple times and I had to let her know this (I sent people trying to book to her website for her contact info). Honestly, I would say don't waste your time booking a destination wedding through her, doing all over again I would book directly through the hotel for the wedding (since I had to do that anyways) and I would book group travel through flight centre or something like that. read more
