Fortunately, they realized rigid oralism wasn't the best approach, and they started learning American Sign Language shortly after transferring me to a school for the deaf. AG Bell should be held accountable for the following: -centuries' worth of bad-mouthing signed languages and Deaf people who speak signed languages; -centuries' worth of condoning language deprivation; -decades worth of promising parents that hearing aids/cochlear implants will make the deaf child function like a hearing person. (Cochlear implants: 22-33 channels vs. an average hearing person's 6,000 channels...) All Deaf children, regardless of their hearing level, have the right to access to their country's signed language, as signed languages provide them with 100% visual language access. YELP IS PRACTICING CENSORSHIP.
