Honor Yoga Pennington is a second home for me. A few years ago, I had never taken a yoga class and my girlfriend dragged me here against my will. I walked in, nervous and timid, and I was welcomed with open arms. I felt the warmth of the staff from the second I entered the building. The storefront is bright, clean and full of life, (literally because there are plants everywhere). There are 3 different yoga spaces. The smallest is called the cozy studio and can fit about 10-13 comfortably. The main studio can fit up to 32 and they also have a studio upstairs in the loft where they offer Aerial Yoga and YogaBaree classes. The variety and amount of classes is quite impressive. All of the instructors are incredibly experienced and provide more than just the physical practice of yoga. Most instructors include a great deal of the philosophical teachings of yoga that the practice is based on. I fell in love with yoga because of this studio and after practicing for some time, I decided to go through their teacher training program. This was the most valuable and transformative decision I have ever made. I am now a verified 200 hour RYT. Honor Yoga is an amazing company that is growing larger every day and spreading the joy and connection that yoga offers. I highly recommend this studio to all levels. Just got a call from them after 4 years after teaching/working for Honor Yoga (and the end of my tenure was with a different Honor studio) asking if I'd be interested in Yoga Teacher Training (that I already attended). I had a bitter taste in my mouth after working with them 4 years ago, and this unfortunately solidified my negative opinion. I would take your business to a locally-owned studio instead. read more

This is a nice studio in the Pennington shopping center. It's clean and welcoming. This review is for the prenatal class only - I've been coming for the past 5 weeks for prenatal yoga (Wednesdays @ 5:45pm) with Courtney Downey. Courtney is amazing and SUPER knowledgeable about prenatal yoga and healthy exercises for women at various stages throughout their pregnancy. She offers mommy-and-me classes, infant massage classes, and has plenty of resources for soon-to-be-moms. The studio has multiple rooms, and always advertising community and studio events happening throughout the month. read more

July, 2022 I signed up for a deal for a one month membership. I went about six times the first week found out it wasn't the type of facility I felt comfortable in. The third third session I asked if the instructor could help me with my poses and she refused. I felt this was unreasonable as there was only one other student in the class that day. I had one class that was taught by the owner who was not very friendly and a little arrogant. I made it very clear I had no intentions on a continuous membership and I received an email stating that there was an attempt to charge my account and that it failed. I assumed this was because I was not ever going to renew the membership., as clearly discussed from the beginning and in addition to my 3 week absence. they claim they left text messages on the landline, but it doesn't receive text messages, it's a landline. when I called to dispute the charge I found on my debit card they were well prepared for a very rehearsed argument that I can only guess they have frequently. I explained to them that if I was not refunded and I had a one month membership that I would be using it but they would have to realize that they would have a very unhappy customer in their classrooms. upon reflection this answers some questions to why there seem to be angry students in the classroom. The studio is average when the air conditioning is working. it's a very basic yoga studio. it's not that great of a price. I feel duped and scammed. charging somebody that doesn't attend $128 may not seem like a lot of money to some people but it is to me. when I tell you that they were well prepared to argue the point I'm not kidding. there's plenty of yoga Studios popping up all over the place. do yourself a favor and avoid this facility. 8/4/2022 It's a week later and still no refund, but the membership was cancelled. My bank is now investigating. read more

Never ever give these people your email address. I went to one class 6 years ago. I moved away soon after! I've tried "click unsubscribe" at least a dozen times. I've called to complain. There is NO ESCAPE from their email lists, they will just switch providers with the full original list and disregard your unsubscribe requests (this is illegal btw). I have taken several classes with different instructors and have enjoyed each class and instructor. It is a very safe environment for those starting out and challenging for those who have been practicing for some time. The studio management, staff and instructor are welcoming, friendly, comfortable place. I recommend the studio and instructors highly. read more

I was disappointed by this yoga studio. The aesthetics are nice, but the class itself was underwhelming. I went to the Calm and Strong class on a Thursday night and another class by an instructor who teaches the Flow class. My friend and I had reserved spots, but the room was extremely cramped with people. I didn't break a sweat and neither instructor made any adjustments to our poses. This is a real concern considering how important proper alignment is to prevent injuries. During shavasana I could hear the instructor's phone send a text. There are better ways to spend $18. read more

Very friendly staff and multiple levels of classes. There are multiple locations so it's easy for me to find a class no matter where I am. The online system makes it easy to sign up for classes on the go. The energy exchange program is a great help. I'm very grateful for this program :) You also have many different types of teachers with different ways of approaching things which makes things interesting. It also helps me when I'm stuck on something to hear it explained to me from different people since they each have their own way of explaining the topic. read more

Honor Yoga is a very friendly and warm and open place. I have come here many times just by myself, and with members of my family (husband, 18 year old, and 13 year old.) Always feel welcome and the yoga instructors are uniformly wonderful and very good at providing instruction. read more

I love my Honor Yoga family!! That's what they make you feel like as a member. After 2 classes the staff and instructors knew me by name, after coming for 2 weeks they knew my injuries and how I should modify, and after 5 months I'm devastated that I have to move away. I attended almost every kind of class the studio offers and found the teachers whose style I really enjoyed but everyone is kind and will give help where needed. I felt so at ease, even if it was the first time with that teacher, because no one passes judgement and they honor you and your body's limits. They offer modifications and even more advanced poses and will take the time to help you grow your practice. I will especially miss my aerial classes with Angela, she keeps it light and real. If there's a pose that you're finding difficult, she'll tell you how long it took her to get it. She makes you laugh the whole class and makes you feel strong and empowered, even if you didn't feel like it yourself. Honor Yoga Pennington and it's teachers and staff have totally changed my life. I never practiced yoga but I saw the studio looking warm and inviting right after shopping last year. I am shy and quiet when I stepped in the beautiful people said 'Welcome'. My Drs had told me to try yoga as a therapy. I started in the Beginners Class with Charity. She is amazing and so patient and delicate with her students. She gave me confidence. I could not do a standing anything, lunge, high crescent etc. I wobbled and ended up falling over many times. Charity made me feel calm and peaceful and I continued on. I have loved everything about Julia's classes. She is always smiling and class isn't too serious. I needed to laugh at myself and keep going. Her knowledge of yoga is incredible. She cares and loves. Charity makes me so calm and peaceful. When you come from her classes you feel like there are no problems in life and joyful. I love her! Cathy Madeo is wonderful. She has helped me to believe in me. I learn so much from her. It's amazing when you can nail an arm balance or asana you never thought possible. Her love of yoga is abundantly clear. She also cares about her students and it's a love that you can feel. Mare is a great teacher! I look forward to her core work so much. It's really tough. She is very kind,caring, and very fun. I love going to her Wednesday noon class. She is playful and so loving. She's always there and takes care of so many things it's unbelievable. When I walk into Honor I feel like I'm at home. My mat the studio and all these wonderful people. They all radiate their light and shine and I feel it healing, loving, careful, kind, they believe in you. I can cry thinking about how special the teachers have become to me, all in different ways. It has been 1 year and 5months and I can't believe what I am doing. Things I never thought possible. My dr was right. I feel so good. I have an hour my mat and these fabulous teachers. I walk out and I can't wait to get there the next day. I could not put into words what Honor and it's teachers(who are friends now) have done for me. They have changed my life. If you are even thinking of yoga please don't, walk into the studio where you will be greeted with love and kindness and your life will be changed forever. There is such a comforting vibe at this studio. Incredible friendly with personalized touches. I have had a few different instructors and liked them all. I am a beginner in my fifties but feel completely comfortable and relaxed about what I can and cannot do and not self-conscious at all.
