I know doctors started a long time ago, believing they were gods instead of human beings that chose a calling to help others and made oaths to that end . As another Yelper stated, this is how you make adults exercise. Since it was our first time, we opted for the 60-minute session. After purchasing our passes, we received a blue wristband for a locker and a white wristband which was our key to accessing the many rooms and games available. If it's your first time, you'll need to create a profile. After using the restroom and storing our stuff in the locker, our staff member led us through the hallway where there were multiple rooms to choose from: Hide, Laser, Strike, Hoop, Scan, Megagrid, Grid, Control. One of the rooms was under maintenance when we went. Time doesn't start until you scan to enter your first room. The staffer gave us a tutorial on how to go about using the screens: pick your game, level, and scan your badge. There are multiple games per room to choose from and you unlock levels as you rank up. Each room can fit up to five persons max. I was worried about the wait times for the rooms, especially the more popular ones, but waiting only took a few minutes. Plus, if you hit game over and there's no group waiting behind you, you have the option to replay. It may seem overwhelming at first, but the screen was pretty intuitive and we got the hang of it pretty quickly. So many games to choose from: An hour just flew by! I liked how even though time was up, they gave us the option to play one final game. We didn't try any of the beta stuff since it was our first time, but I can imagine if you're a seasoned Activate member, the novelty of a new game would keep you coming back for more. 100% would recommend checking out.

After Activate, I get it now…read more My friends and I originally booked Activate months ago and a couple of illnesses made us reschedule and it was very easy to do online. Located in Stonestown, there's plenty of parking all around the mall. You can head towards Regal Cinema (2nd floor above Uniqlo) to find Activate. From there, you check in (or pay on the spot) and you'll get a wristband to sign in. Start thinking of a cool nickname for yourself. In the lobby is also two separate bathrooms and a water fountain. You will get a locker to share amongst your group for your things and you are allowed to go back to your locker while you play. There's plenty of rooms inside and I'm sure it's meant to keep the players going. If there is no one behind you for the room then you're given the option to extend the game. Overall, Activate is a good time for all - we saw young children and older adults playing and the games are spaced out enough to where you don't feel like you're waiting long for a room to open up. Rooms with AC would've been nice, but they do have a couple fans in the game area for you to stand by if you get too hot.

Nothing helped and they could not determine what was causing the pain. I finally gave up on them and went to see Mike. He spent the time to ask me questions and analyzed my walk and posture. He worked with me on different exercises which I continue to perform daily. Within 6 sessions my pain was gone. It's been three months, and I feel great. I had spent a miserable year with pain and Mike was the only one who asked the right questions and listened when I described the pain and when I would feel it the most. My lab has had two knee surgeries and while she is still very energetic, she does get sore and her knees need to be considered. Emily took it on herself to back up to curbs so it's easier for Rosa to get in and out of the truck. She also pays attention when she needs to take it easy on some days. Also, Rosa started eating things on the walk that she shouldn't (gross), and Emily quickly realized on her own that if she just gives Rosa a ball to hold onto while walking, she won't eat anything. One day when dropping Rosa off I was going to suggest it to Emily, but she brought it up first! She really cares about the dogs and tends to their individual needs. I feel that I'm a decently active person but I needed something to jumpstart losing weight and having a personal trainer was just the ticket. I always thought having a personal trainer would be intimidating and unaffordable but Active Break really took into consideration what I was able to do and I ended up coming in every week for the last 3 months. Cindy has really kicked my butt and I've lost over 15 lbs! I'm feeling so confident in wearing my wedding dress and have her to thank. She really adjusts workouts so that they have cardio, weights, and we even spar and do boxing. Variation seems to be the key to success when it comes to being healthy and losing weight. Another important aspect in working with a personal trainer is someone that is personable and someone you'll enjoy the company of. Cindy is very encouraging but definitely challenges me and I hate and love her for it. She's such a laid back person and has really worked around my busy work schedule and I'm so glad I signed up to train with her.

Cindy employs multiple workout styles and techniques including African and Latin dance, cardio, weight lifting, etc. If you train with Cindy personally then she will custom design a workout plan for you. I am very impressed by the diverse demographics she's able to attract to the boot camps, which adds to the workout experience! Also, I am really big on trainers with good energy and Cindy definitely brings a positive and light energy. If you're unable to train with her personally I would definitely recommend attending Cindy's boot camp or one of her 5K fundraisers!
