I hired Corinne Hoover Six via recommendation. My case was simple divorce settlement... yet after a hefty $4000 retainer, I am asked for $291 more. What simple settlement case costs this much? In the end, I ended up negotiating the settlement myself with my now ex. I received very little assistance with the settlement until in the very end, and even then it was to clarify few things the assistant lawyer wanted to know. This was literally one hour before office closes and the court date next morning. Needless to say, it turned to several emails, and settlement wording revisement by opponent lawyer. If you need a fighting lawyer, then hire this company. If your case is simple, just take care of it yourself. read more

This office has no one in control. Items that were to be turned to them, weren't and no one was aware until I started asking questions. I had signed a POA for one of the attorneys so that some personal property could be sold. (I no longer lived in this area.) The paperwork disappeared from my file, the legal work the POA was to cover was ruined by no one seeming to know what to do and refused reliable assistance from the purchaser. What should have taken a week, took months and the attorney resolved his part by sending me copies of all the paperwork and "letting" me straighten it out. Thankfully my buyer did not walk way. Also I was charged for phone calls and a simple letter. Be aware. This is not a well-run office. read more

I have never met a more unprofessional professional than Corrine-Hoover-Sixx at this firm. Charge someone almost $400 and don't have the decency to at least speak to them on the phone? A cold callous heartless email is all I'm good for? I guess customer service is just out the window. I had to quickly retain a lawyer after my family lawyer fell ill. Unfortunately I pulled a snake out of the basket. Because when I told them I no longer needed their service I was still charged $272 in fees and $105 and 3% credit card retainer fee. This seems a bit inflated due to the fact $75 was charged to email me asking me for more information and $75 was charged to me to cut me my retainer check back minus their "hours of working on my case". I called this firm for nine days to try to speak to a human being and I was pushed aside, sent to voicemail or told somebody was in a meeting. I've been in meetings before and most of them suck but I don't remember one ever lasting nine days. I actually was told on Friday by someone else "in charge" that they are too busy working on other clients who pay. And that they do not have time to deal with me. I guess I'm not a client anymore once they took my $400. The only contact I could get from someone in charge was two emails. All I ever asked was to speak to somebody on the phone and they could not do this. I basically received a "Thanks for retaining our service for five days we're still going to keep your money so good luck to you in the future" email. read more
