Yes, I admit I am not a religious person and I make no apologies for that, but when you come to the church to say goodbye to someone, wow. The church is beautiful and beyond what I thought. The inside with its crispy white walls and beautiful colored pews and chairs. I felt bad taking a photo so I will add one at a later date. It just goes to show how a place of happiness can quickly become a place of sad but serene. The church talked could easily hold one thousand and that's my estimate, and the acoustics are amazing. I may have to once again come by once I feel that I'm okay to do so, since without my friends presence, it may be a little difficult to attend. Parking is ample although I wasn't sure if it continues to the back since the few times I've attended service I only parked on the front (or side) of the entrance. All in all this sanctuary is beautiful.

Pastor Mayorga and the band are very energetic and passionate and will keep you on your feet and focused on God. I have been to different types of churches but this one is by far the best Christian church I have been to. The devotional songs the band plays are very modern and vary in styles from rock, to salsa, to bachata. Different styles you might ask?? yes very different from the boring monotone songs I was used to in Catholic churches, or the overly dramatic gospel of other Christian churches. This group seems to suit me just right!! The church offers bible studies for all ages, ranging from toddlers thru adult classes as well as a nursery for infants. If you are new to the area and in search of a congregation to join, or just in the market to try something different, then come check out La Iglesia Nazarena de Blue Island.

It is radically welcoming, not demanding your personal life be of a certain flavor or that you live a holier-than-thou existence. I highly recommend for anyone, especially for those who have soured on organized religion, but haven't completely soured on the Christian faith. It's a friendly place for you -- and your family -- to take a faith journey.
