The doctors are professional, kind and communicative. The front desk staff have always been helpful and friendly. I'm loving the new online portal system, and telemedicine has been great during these strange COVID times. Shoutout to Dr Johnson, Dr Sukiennik and Dr Yasko for supporting me and my family! My only criticism would be that the office itself needs a bit of cleaning and renovation. The building is old and the space isn't aging well. I'd also like to suggest that the bathroom be more thoroughly and frequently cleaned and restocked (however, the last time I was physically in the office was long before the shutdowns and quarantine. Things may be different there at this time).

I only write this review so that it can help others considering Dr. Beaumont. I was a patient for…read moreroughly four months, having come to seek help with my anxiety issues (as this was listed as one of her specialities). As stated by others, Dr. Beaumont is a nice person and scheduling appointments was always easy. However, I left after four months because I recognized that I had made no progress in working to alleviate my issues. During several sessions, I mentioned various scenarios that induce anxiety and asked for actionable tips on what I can do to work to improve. Somehow Dr. Beaumont would either go off on a tangent regarding something actually irrelevant in her personal life, or try to guess (yes, guess) why I felt the way I stated in certain situations. The guesses were solely based on my appearance and what she'd learned about me up to that point. I can honestly say that the primary advice I received regarding my social anxiety was the following: Try asking people about themselves when starting a conversation, but avoid talking about politics and religion. Try complimenting people on what they're wearing and strike up a conversation from there. This is VERY common advice that I could have found in innumerable articles online instead of spending hundreds of dollars in therapy. Also, she suggested after only a few sessions that I consider anxiety medication, which is actually just antidepressants. She touted the potential benefits and a red flag went off for me at that point because she didn't even try to help me get to the root of my issues. It was a band-aid approach. Overall, I was very dissatisfied because I did not have a quality therapy experience with Dr. Beaumont. I would urge anyone who is looking for help with anxiety issues to seek assistance elsewhere. I hope this helps someone make a smart therapy decision.

No stars if I could…read more Emily Gordon forced me to make a commitment to her availability, with a predetermined sliding scale fee, that she AGREED UPON. I indicated to her that I am in a tough spot with my job, and that committing to her availability would be difficult for me, but I would try. Doing so resulted in hundreds of lost weekly income for me, however I was able to make an appointment, as I am need of a therapist as a requirement for my professional advancement. Afterwards, Emily went back on her word about the agreement, and proposed terms that were less than favorable for me. I asked her why such a change was made, and she initially refused to share. I emailed her twice over a 72 hour period asking for an explanation, as I was experiencing lost wages, as well as lost opportunities with other therapists. I heard nothing in return from her. Not even an indication that she had canceled my appointment (which her office makes very clear they will charge you if not appropriately canceled). In the end, I had to get the business manager involved. I then, finally, received a call back from Emily Gordon, where she indicated that I had no real reason for needing an explanation, and was just trying to pick a fight with her. As a therapist, I wonder how it was hard for her to understand how her behavior, lack of professionalism, and ERROR would be frustrating for a patient. I have been seeing therapists for almost eight years now. Never once has anything like this happened. The lack of professionalism is astounding. Read this post. Read the others. No fault of 'All Types Counseling". I had my first visit Monday and I will say; Samantha and Victoria were ever pleasant and made the experience stress-free. They were prompt, efficient, and friendly. I had shared appreciation for an informative sign on the door, as to my first visit being let down, not by any fault of theirs, this visit instilled more trust that things were taken care of immediately.
