We are aware what my mother owes, but it is truly sad that Mrs Guillory would say they are willing to take action like shooting a family member if need be. She said she is my mothers advocate, but to kill her son , or to put him out on the street helps no one.. Rosewood provided the care he so desperately needed and helped him to recooperate. From the Administrator down to every staff member. My family and I sooo appreciate you for everything you done to assist my dad. The kindness, the patience, the consideration, the thoughtfulness. Even the maintenace man, the receptionist, aids, nurses, DON, asst DON, the housekeepers, kitchen stafff........all boils down to the Leader (Administrator) and how she is running the place. 1st time ive ever witnessed a Administrator staying busy up and down the hallways all thru out the day and evening up until the time she leaves. Training staff with excellence and setting the example her self by being a workin force.....I observed everything I could every chance I could. This place is a perfect example and should be the number #1 training center for the state recognition. Family members of mines have been to numerous of nursing homes over the yrs and none set a high example as Rosewood for Seniour Care as I witnessed at this place. I was so pleased that I could rest at night knowing my dad was being well taken care if. I was one who went all the time and not 1 time I went there that my dad wasnt clean or looking good. We started the process today to find the right skilled nursing facility that my mom will be…read moretransported to after being discharged from the rehab unit at Memorial Hospital. She has done remarkably well but will need additional skilled nursing care to continue to improve. After setting up a tour of this facility we were greeted by a member of the administration staff, we were afford a complete walk through and shown the specialty care ammenties and also spoke with several residents who reinforced just how well ran this facility is. This is one of the few local facilities that offers private single occupancy rooms. The facility is well maintained and is kept in immaculate condition. Although we just started the process this is definitely one that is at the top of our list and comes highly recommended. We will share our experience and photos with my mother since ultimately it is her decision but feel this is definitely a top contender and since we still have a few days before her discharge there is time to complete our due diligence so she can receive the best care possible. This place came highly recommended to us with people saying it was the only place they would feel comfortable sending their own family members. So we took a chance and I'm so happy we did!!! The nurses/CNAs here are some of the best.... not only did they do what their job required of them they also went above and beyond their job description doing whatever needed to be done to make my aunt feel comfortable. My family and I visited my aunt almost daily, but could not be there 24/7 so knowing my aunt was being cared for by these capable caring ladies made all the difference and gave us peace of mind!!! My mother also received phone calls from them no matter the time day or night if anything different was going on with my aunt so we always felt informed!!! When my aunt eventually took a turn for the worse during the times we could not be there these ladies sat with her doing whatever they could to comfort her as the end approached. When my aunt eventually did pass away the nurses/CNAs who cared for her during her stay who were not on duty at the time, came up there to pay their respects on their day off!!! Most of them had tears in their eyes as they told us just how much they loved her and how they viewed her like she was their own grandmother!!! This is the type of care you can expect from this place, and I cannot recommend it enough!!! It was one of the BEST decisions we have ever made sending her to this place and I would not hesitate sending another one of my family members here!!!

4,400th Review My…read moremom transferred here for extended rehab and skilled nursing care after being discharged from the hospital, looking for the best possible accommodations and skilled nursing care was quite the task. We quickly found that there are many levels of care and accommodations in the area, so after doing our due diligence we found Calcasieu Community Care Center was a good fit and a beautiful new facility with an exceptional staff. Besides the skilled nursing care and staffing we looked at the ammenties, this facility with its private rooms and in room private bathrooms and showers was a big part of the decision process, after a little over 30 days here there is no doubt this facility was the right choice, nothing in the area provides this level of care in a beautiful, safe, comfortable setting. Of course this was a difficult decision but one that was necessary although our family did much of the research ultimately it was my mother's decision to come here. I don't think there are any perfect facilities but this one checked most of the boxes. I feel the staff here truly cares and has really focused on her well being and rehabilitation. We have tried to make her room a little like home and installed a few things to make her more comfortable and convenient and also supplement her dietary needs since she is still adjusting to the food which in my opinion is just okay but I do understand the challenges, fortunately my mom has family close by and many friends who visit often so she never feels alone and isolated, the staff here is so friendly and welcoming, we already know most by name and they recognize us as well, establishing relationships is very important as well as them knowing we are constantly checking on things and expect an open line of communication which thankfully they have been very good at whether that's in person by text or in a few cases personal cell phones so there's no need to call and talk to a receptionist and get put on hold or have to be called back this type of personal attention is really comforting. Being this is a newer facility it is very modern and very clean, with a reasonable amount of staffing to keep up with everything - there are always plenty of snacks and fresh fruits for the residents and many activities scheduled daily. The rehabilitation staff is amazing and she has made great progress which I credit to them but the entire team here has provided exceptional care. Although this is a big adjustment for my mother and our entire family it is very comfortable to know this level of care and accommodations is available...
