My son was having issues with latching and feeding initially, and she set up a Zoom virtual consult to provide lactation support (which was especially helpful since we were quarantined at home with a newborn in the setting of COVID-19 and unable to access in person lactation services). We were struggling through every feed prior to the consult, and our baby was losing too much weight despite our very best efforts. She gave new, individualized, and unique tips/techniques to try, which ALL worked! He latched and fed perfectly during our consult and with every subsequent feed!!! I appreciated that she provided real-time personalized advice and tips during the consult. She is clearly extremely knowledgable about lactation and genuinely cares about her clients! This team is very dedicated to the children they have as clients and are very quick to make suggestions and offer advice on matters that one might have to take home with them. Even our feeding evaluation specialist mentioned that if we went to the main All Children's Hospital building parking would be harder. There were tons of spaces which is amazing. We went here for a feeding evaluation for my then five month old. TLDR backstory he had weight issues so the GI referred us here. They sent us paperwork ahead of time which included instructions about what we needed to bring, where to go, and all the first time paperwork. This made getting here and checking in a breeze. They called us back at our exact appointment time. We had Cara as our feeding eval specialist. She was super sweet and informative. Of course my baby decided this was the day he would crush his bottle in record time and then promptly fall asleep for the rest of the appointment, which rendered evaluating him absolutely useless. He ate as if he had no issues whatsoever. Cara found this as humorous as I did and we ended up just talking about how he normally eats and any suggestions for that. Overall the appointment went well and I thought this place is run really efficiently. My only small critique is the wall color is yellow and kind of creepy, not a cheerful yellow. I could imagine this being the setting for a horror story one day. They probably need to repaint but I'm sure saving children and improving lives is their main focus.
