She was able to do that quickly enough for me to see it before we were out of contact for the weekend, which let us make arrangements as soon as we got home to come up and see the house in person that next week. When we had questions about the house, she went above and beyond to get us answers, including tracking down information the seller's agent should have provided (but hadn't!). Once we put in the offer, she made getting through the inspection process easy, especially for someone coordinating it from out of state. She was able to get estimates so we could ask for a reasonable amount of credit on the sale and all of the folks she has recommended have been top notch. We were able to close early in a large part because of her work and she made the whole experience smooth and easy (or at least as easy and stress-free as buying a house from two states away can be!). Just 3 days after the listing went live, we arrived for a site visit and made an offer $35K over asking price, and in a very slow and challenging market for sellers, due to ultra high mortgage rates and virtually no turnover of inventory on the market. We presented out letter of pre-approval and met all of his very time-sensitive milestones to submit our bid. In return, he repeatedly ignored his own stated timeline and deadlines to reply, dragged this out for 4 days, and then told us the reason for his lack of follow-through and timely communication was that he was skiing! We did not make a lowball offer - it was a generous offer, backed up by a pre-approval letter form a very prominent and respected mortgage broker, and he treated us with absolutely zero respect or consideration. Finally, in frustration, we withdrew our bid, which may have hurt the seller as well. We advise in the strongest possible terms to avoid dealing with Jon Hansen or the Hansen Group, this was a nightmare experience, and so unnecessary. Of course we are disappointed we didn't win the property, but that's not the reason for the review. The review is because throughout the process, Jon showed absolutely no professional or personal respect or even basic consideration for the value of our time or good intentions. Whether you are a seller or a buyer, you have many other choices for a real estate agent in Whatcom County. Look elsewhere.
