The meal deal at £4 is neither a deal or a meal, but the coffee deal is alright - £3 for a large coffee and a pastry or muffin. Whether you get that deal highly depends on the staff as they seem to forget their own offers so be vigilant so as not to miss out. It has a car wash, petrol pumps, FREE cash points and sells a small selection of magazines.

They have supposed to have ordered manual scales rather than the previous electronic ones that kept failing. Add to the fact that twice now I have encountered goods wrongly priced: Flowers in a bucket for £5 turned out to be £10 Excuse: Customers putting things in the wrong place. Unfortunately, the argument didn't hold as there was no bucket marked £10. Half priced batteries was 13.99 for 18, sale price: 6.99. At the till they were 7.99. Excuse: Offer must have ended, but shelf price not updated. If the offer had ended then the price should have come up at 13.99!!!! One bonus is that the staff are really helpful and friendly, even if sometimes the excuses used by some are not quite right. Now dropping to to two star. 23/8/11 I go away for a couple of weeks' holiday and return and find that the scales have disappeared at the Redditch store. I am not sure if this is across the whole chain. This is ridiculous. How am I now supposed to get the right loose quantities for a recipe? I have been to customer services and they have said I could get them weighed there, but this would mean getting in a queue each time. Alternatively, bring the whole amount in one go and go backwards and forwards to either return items or get extra items to meet the weight I require. I'm not looking for fancy scales that will print the price and weight, and connect to the store's database. I just need to be able to put things on a scale and ascertain the weight of the goods. Is that too much to ask? What next? Remove the scales at the deli, fish and meat counters? It was interesting to note that the cashier I asked today didn't even know that the scales had been removed. So there seems to have been little consultation with the staff. There wasn't even a notice to explain why they have been moved. I then found out from customer services that they kept breaking down. What this now means that they have reduced the customer service by not providing an obvious tool to the shopper. I think that this may be the start of a trend within supermarket in general.

So this petrol station does not use any energy from electricity companies.. infact it generates its own electricity by solar panels installed on its roof. M&S shop and 3 counters. Slow service sometimes but ok. Not competitive on Fuel price side as the nearest Shell pump is cheaper but its on the other side of the road by PCworld. Only rate this site because its truly green site. well kind of. as it uses solar electricity. I hope all the stations are designed like this soon. I had been a regular and happy customer of my local Tesco petrol station, so was quite annoyed when…read morewe moved and I realised I would now have to use the BP garage on Groveley Lane. After two months though I've realised that I actually prefer this garage as they sell a range of groceries so I can pick up any bits I've forgotten. The petrol and diesel is priced competatively with other petrol stations in the area, although I won't say (and in fact don't know!) how much they are charging at the moment because it tends to change on a daily basis. As well as fuel, their forecourt includes a car wash and also several different jet wash services in case you fancy doing all the hard work yourself. You can get your cash out of the ATM, for which there is a charge of £1.75 - I never use this because of this charge, but BP also accept debit and credit cards so I tend to pay using my card or cash. Inside the garage it's lovely and bright with a surprisingly comfortable temperature, I say this because I usually find BP garages very cold as they always have the air conditioning up too high even when it's freezing outside! There's a much better selection of goods inside this BP branch compared to others; the bread is always fresh and so is the milk, isn't it always pot luck when buying these items from garages as to whether it's actually going to be edible once you get it home?! You can also buy a small range of chilled and frozen foods as well as tinned and dried goods, cleaning products and the obligatory car care products. I wouldn't do much shopping in here because the prices are ridiculously high, but it's dead handy for when I run out of a specific item. This branch of the BP also stocks alcohol, which I find bizarre considering how hard the government are supposed to be tackling drink driving. I don't know, it always seems weird to me that petrol stations have started selling booze. Anyway, the prices are scandalous so I'd never even consider buying so much as a bottle of Jacobs Creek here when there is a 'proper' outdoor just down the road! Other than this, BP have a very good selection of crisps and chocolate bars which my kids' are eternally grateful for before we set off on a long journey! The staff in this branch are really friendly and helpful, if you can't find something just ask and they'll point you in the right direction.

The prices are in line with the cheapest prices you will find in the local area and I always go here when Tesco's have the special offer of spending over £50 in store and receiving a 5p off a litre of petrol voucher! It is around about the same price as other petrol stations in the area and you get nectar points each time you get petrol here. The staff are friendly and once when I had a flat tyre they were fine with me leaving my car there whilst I got someone to pick me up and go to get a new one.

I've generally considered these places overpriced and normally reason with myself that I can wash my own car for half the price. However, after one particularly dirty drive to Birmingham, I happened upon this place, and seeing that they'd do a wash (without a dry) for just £3, I decided to give it a go. The guys working were all very friendly, working quickly and efficiently, and I can safely say I got my money's worth. Sparkle offers a range of services, going right up to a £50 for a full exterior clean and polish, full interior clean, and even an engine clean! My car's worth less than £50 so I couldn't really justify that, but if the quality of their £3 service is anything to go by, I'm sure they'd do a great job.
