A place you can bring your level to get calibrated. And rent one while it got fixed. You could buy all your equipment here. Pick up stuff for laying out buildings to doing stuff on the computer. They have everything thing here. From prisms to rods to legs. All in between is here. It's a small shop. But if you can't find it he will get it. Even replacement parts. Which I had to have done a couple times.

I had a very scary experience meeting Will Lavender from Upstate Surveying Associates. He removed a…read morestake from my property that I had just paid my own highly rated surveyor to mark two days prior. The stake was on my property, that I own. Mr. Lavender didn't notify me, as the property owner, that anything was being removed from my property, or even ask if it was okay. When I went out back behind my home to see why this had been done, he quickly lost his temper, threw up his arms, started cursing while yelling that he'll put back the stake he removed. He claimed that he had a right to remove it, even though it was on my property. He began yelling very quickly telling me to get back in my "f" ing house while leaning his body in towards me. In addition, the former project manager of the site confirmed that this is the surveyor that replaced the stake in the wrong spot, leaving significant more space on my property for the builder (who hired him) to use at their leisure. The stake was inevitably moved back, but only after the builder was done with their grating job. I would not trust this hostile man to survey anything, or even allow him on my property. He does not know how to speak to people, he's disrespectful and he's so entitled, that he doesn't take responsibility or even simply apologize when he wrongfully removes things from other people's property. And placing a stake in the wrong spot because it is convenient for the people who pay them is incredibly unethical. There are plenty of trustworthy and reliable surveyors in the area that are kind and respectful, without creating conflicts or aggressive situations for people within the community. I used a wonderful surveyor in Greenville that has great rating and an amazing reputation.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a survey company. I am the operations…read moredirector for a local real estate company here in Greenville. We have a client working on one of their many home renovations they've done in the north main/Greenville area. When it was time to do the survey for their most recent flip, our usual "go-to" surveyor was booked about a month out, and we needed to get one done sooner due to an easement that needed to be filed so the new rear driveway could be completed. I found this company and a few others and called to see if they had sooner availability. They were the first to reach back out to me, so I decided to move forward. Bad mistake. It took them as long to complete the survey as it would have been for me to just wait on my usual people to do the job had I just booked them. I stayed patient through the process and kept up to date with Mary via email. Once they actually completed the survey, 2 weeks went buy and still no final product. I continued to email Mary, and she apologized and said they were short handed. Every time I asked for an update, she said I would have one in a few days. A few days would pass and still no survey. I finally went to their office to see what was going on. I had to ring a door bell and remain outside as they are not allowing anyone in due to Covid. Awkward to say the least. Mary finally came to the door and was furious I had showed up in person to follow up. I remained calm an polite and asked what the hold up was. She kept saying in a nasty tone "I'll have it ready today!!!" After I asked what time they closed and reminded her she had told me it would be ready the prior week, she yelled at me again and said she would get it completed "today" and SLAMMED the door. It was hard to keep my cool I have to admit. I fortunately was able to pick up my survey just before 5pm the same day. Mary did not apologize for her actions at all and still seemed to have an attitude with me as I paid. Had I not shown up in person, I'm sure another week would have passed by without the survey being complete. Did I mention the survey was $700.00?!! The lot was .33 acres!! My usual person is 500-650 max. Mary should be fired and not allowed to deal with the public. This company needs to be put out of business.
