This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a survey company. I am the operations…read moredirector for a local real estate company here in Greenville. We have a client working on one of their many home renovations they've done in the north main/Greenville area. When it was time to do the survey for their most recent flip, our usual "go-to" surveyor was booked about a month out, and we needed to get one done sooner due to an easement that needed to be filed so the new rear driveway could be completed. I found this company and a few others and called to see if they had sooner availability. They were the first to reach back out to me, so I decided to move forward. Bad mistake. It took them as long to complete the survey as it would have been for me to just wait on my usual people to do the job had I just booked them. I stayed patient through the process and kept up to date with Mary via email. Once they actually completed the survey, 2 weeks went buy and still no final product. I continued to email Mary, and she apologized and said they were short handed. Every time I asked for an update, she said I would have one in a few days. A few days would pass and still no survey. I finally went to their office to see what was going on. I had to ring a door bell and remain outside as they are not allowing anyone in due to Covid. Awkward to say the least. Mary finally came to the door and was furious I had showed up in person to follow up. I remained calm an polite and asked what the hold up was. She kept saying in a nasty tone "I'll have it ready today!!!" After I asked what time they closed and reminded her she had told me it would be ready the prior week, she yelled at me again and said she would get it completed "today" and SLAMMED the door. It was hard to keep my cool I have to admit. I fortunately was able to pick up my survey just before 5pm the same day. Mary did not apologize for her actions at all and still seemed to have an attitude with me as I paid. Had I not shown up in person, I'm sure another week would have passed by without the survey being complete. Did I mention the survey was $700.00?!! The lot was .33 acres!! My usual person is 500-650 max. Mary should be fired and not allowed to deal with the public. This company needs to be put out of business.

It was obvious they sized my husband and I up the moment we walked in the door. We were dressed in jeans, my husband had a baseball cap on...we were dressed for running errands! After looking me up and down she immediately dismissed me, turned her back to me and walked away, and it was obvious I didn't measure up to her standards and when my husband asked a question about the layout of the house, square footage, etc., instead of simply answering the questions she just shoved a brochure at him and refused to answer. Just let me say that we can EASILY afford any of their homes and are possibly interested in building within the next year or two. Although we liked the houses and their layouts we would NOT deal with any of these rude, unprofessional women and will take our business elsewhere.

They'll help find land, or in our case, we found our own land. The cherry on the sundae is the price. Wow!! We never EVER thought we could afford a 3000 square foot gorgeous designer home. Schumacher has buying power, so you can choose any color granite you want (they're all the same price). They use name brand everything. Our contractor running the show is their real gem. Lloyd Cox has at least 1 team doing work every day. Some days I've seen 5 teams working. You can watch them all day if you like. Plus, you can call with questions at any time. Paul Schumacher had an amazing concept of providing "custom", with the buying power of the other national builders. They also guarantee you'll be in your home in 120 days!! Wow. The other cool thing is their showroom which is in one of their model homes. You go in, and in one day, you pick out everything for your home: the siding, shutters, flooring, faucets, fireplace...,etc. If you'd like to find something else....no problem. You aren't under any restrictions. Since I go to the lot every day, I've spoken to every trade partner they use. All the guys have been super nice, very helpful and totally focused on me. I, honestly, can't say enough about this team. We haven't experienced one negative thing. If you're in the upstate of SC or in NC, consider stopping in to their model homes and talk to either Heather or Lisa. These girls know their stuff and help with the initial home concept. This company has won national quality awards and this particular office is always building many homes at once. You'd never know we were in a recession. I rented from CBC for 3 years and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience when it came…read moretime to move out. There is no way this home was properly inspected before I moved in -- it had a propane leak, HVAC leaks, and no dryer venting system, which created a major fire hazard. Despite these issues, I took great care of the property, did all the yard work myself, and even paid $400 for professional cleaning when I moved out to leave the place in good condition. Yet I was charged more than $2,000 in move-out costs, including full carpet replacement (for "pet smell" despite the carpet being in good visible condition) and $281 for "tile cleaning", even though the tiles had already been professionally cleaned. After three years of normal occupancy, these are clearly normal wear and tear, and charging me for full replacement is completely unreasonable. These charges go far beyond normal wear and tear after three years of tenancy. When I raised concerns, management dismissed them and said the owner would not take responsibility. I've rented for years and never had issues like this with any other landlord. I do NOT recommend buying a home from them or going through them for rentals.

I leased a home in Travelers Rest from Coldwell Banker, specifically from Jessica Boggs, and had a…read moreterrible experience. Upon my move out, Jessica remarked on how clean the home was and the work we put in to get the home to a great place. During the final inspection the only items called out were some drawers that needed to be wiped down, a few hedges I did not trim in the backyard and 3 missing lightbulbs. 26 days later and I still do not have my security deposit back and when I asked, I was told the carpets had to be recleaned due to some pet odor. The carpets were already professionally cleaned before my move out and this was not called out during the inspection or in the 3 weeks that followed. In fact Jessica even remarked at how good the carpets looked during the inspection. The whole point of the move out inspection, and the obligation to allow the tenant to be present, is to ensure things like this do not happen and tenants are not charged for these kind of speculative things. But Coldwell Banker is unbelievably shady in how they do business and waited 26 days to let me know. I would not recommend anyone use their services if it can be avoided. Some other issues I had: - An old sandbox in the backyard, which was there upon my move in, was infested with copperhead snakes and my lawn services refused to continue to mow. When I contacted Jessica, she told me this would be my responsibility to pay to remove. I had no choice but to pay to get something removed from the home that was not mine and presented a serious health and safety risk. - The air quality in the house was terrible and was causing severe skin issues for my partner and myself. The previous tenants resorted to putting filters over every air return to help. When I brought this up to Jessica, she told me that it is common for people to do this to block the air from coming out - even though I found vent filters in the closet from the last tenants. It took a month or more of back and forth to get a cheap service to come out and do the duct cleaning. They had multiple providers come out and of course they went with the cheapest and worst option. In person Jessica seemed nice and respectful, but at every opportunity her and her company have looked for any reason to charge me and push normal expenses back on to me. Avoid at all costs!!
